Very dirty and rude place. Rooms are nasty don't even look like they get cleaned in between stays. I paid a 40$ deposit for a room with burn holes, rips in curtains, stains on floor, stinks like ciggresttes and marijuana. They are also infested with bed bugs. When I went to check out they only gave me 20$ back of my deposit because of chips on the floor there was no damage done to the room. Just needed beds made and vaccumed but they made me pay 20$ for that to be done! When room cleaning should already be mandatory. That is what room cleaning is for! I recommend not staying there it is the worst place in town!
This place doesn't even deserve a one star. I was here over thanksgiving break and the hotel made it less great. My sister and I stayed here. We walked into the lobby which looked very pretty so we were sure we were going to have a good time at the hotel. We went up on the elevator and it was very shaky which freaked us out a bit. It also smelled like someone was growing pot. We started walking in the hallways and it smelled really bad. Similar to the smell in the elevator. Then we walked in our first room. The first thing we saw was that our toilet was clogged. So we called the front desk to get our rooms changed. The second room had lots of problems. Clothes in the closet (that weren't ours), no knobs on some drawers, poop stains on a chair, tv wasn't working, no iron board with an iron, alarm clock wasn't working, a cockroach came out of the sink and then again the toilet got clogged (my sister only peed, that's it). So we called and once again we switched rooms. This time there wasn't much problems. The one problem we had was that there was no phone in the room. The morning that we were leaving, we had the maid keep coming to the door. They mostly talked to my sister so i briefly know what was said. I remember her telling them we didn't have a phone. The next time we heard a knock, a worker just gave her a phone and told her to connect it to the wall. Like really??? The manager was overall nice and seemed to care about our stay but whoever cleans or fixes the rooms need to do a better job. All the problems we had made the stay not the greatest. It was cheap but it wasn't worth the money I paid for. The manager said we could stay an extra night for free but we wouldn't even stay there for free. That's how bad it was. The only good part about the hotel was the indoor pool.
The Victory Inn is a relatively inexpensive motel. It has the look and feel of a place in need of renovation.
However, for a night of sleep and a shower in the morning, it is sufficient. The room was old, but clean. TV was old and had bad reception. The shower was old but clean and had reliable and warm water. The evening staff was a little rough, but helpful and the morning staff was quite nice and friendly.
This place is horrible. DO NOT STAY HERE! Stains all over and smells. The front desk guy was very nice but other than that worst hotel. After the tv not working and what looked like a blood stain (not even tried to be washed) on the blanket we were given another room. We had to get on the elevator and we thought it was not going to make it. Went to walk into the next room and the lights would not turn on. The floor looked like were were going to be set up to be murdered. We went back down and there was another group trying to get a refund because of digesting room. They do not have breakfast like they advertise for.
Dirty room, never dusted, and spiders in the corners. We bought our own sheets from Walmart because bedding looked stained and like it was never washed. Toilet had mold on it and ceiling looked like it leaked. Couldn't find stairs and elevator felt like it was going to stop at any moment and I'm pretty sure people are growing pot here. No wifi or breakfast. Pool was cloudy and the flower pots were broken outside. Not safe for children. If I could I wouldn't give any stars for this creepy, scary and sketchy place.
Absolutely miserable. Glad I'm not the one who chose or paid for this room. "Y'all got some real blankets? ..nah." imagine living in a 100+ block apartment. NOBODY EFFING SLEEPS. I've been listening to Arab prayer calls for at least the last 2 hours. I don't care if that's what you like, do you.. it's 2 in the f******* morning. Long story short buy a crack house in Detroit and stay there. It will probably be better.
Worst hotel I've ever been to, DO NOT GO, I cannot stress that enough. Three of the 4 lights in our room did not work, and neither did the phone. No ice bucket. The TV was ancient and blurry. We are 90 percent sure we saw a man with a prostutute. The soda machine was completely empty except for a few diet cokes and the ice machine on our floor was busted. I don't think there are any stairs, just an elevator with broken buttons (I was momentarily trapped on the third floor since I think the down button was stuck.) This hotel was absolutely not worth it's rates, I paid upwards of 100 dollars for the night I spent here in this nightmare. I'd give it zero stars if I could.
No breakfast, nonworking pool, dirt and stains everywhere, the walls are thin (we were able to hear our neighbours talking/fighting), the place seems to be in shambles and shouldn't be charging over $20 a night for their rooms. We will never stay here again! Had paid for two days before we has visited the hotel, stayed the two nights (no refund) and hated it.
Absolutely the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at.
The hand towels were stained with urine, the shampoo was half used, there wasn't any toilet paper in the room, the "down" button on BOTH the elevators were broken, the pool was closed for maintenance, the hallways smelled of cigarettes (that is until they sprayed airscent to mask it) the bathtub filled up and wouldn't drain, the bathroom was falling apart, the carpet was stained, and the water tasted awful, which could have been a Muskegon problem.
Management blamed the fact that the towels were stained on the housekeeping stating that "we don't know what they do" and shrugged off the other complaints acting as if it wasn't his job to help.
A group of friends and I booked two rooms. After driving for twenty hours, one of the two rooms did not have a functioning toilet with old urine still in the bowl. The other did not have any light bulbs in the room. We were assigned a new rooms of course. One room as ok, but the other room we walked in to had not been cleaned since it's last use (beds unmade, leftover trash.)
As we waited in the hallway outside of the one ok room with our belongings, the manager of the building came storming through, slurring his words, threatening to destroy our belongings if we did not move them, saying he was going to call the police on us. He was comepletely unaware of the situation and could not have been more rude about I would not recommend this excuse for a hotel to even my worst of enemies. Avoid this place at all costs.
CRACK HEADS. nothing worked there was multiple rooms with handles busted off. felt scared of being mugged in the room and neck scratchers asking for money out front
Rooms were not cleaned, coffe maker had mold in it,tv didn't show good reception, drapes raggedy and need to be replaced to cover entire window..will never stay in one again in muskegon. ..
