I am leaving a poor review not for the stylist but for the owner. Recently my hair stylist has gone sick and she has been cutting my hair for a couple years now. I called up the owner and asked her whom she would recommend, understanding that she would of course know who's running through her salon. She rudely asked me "do you understand the concept of A Select Salon?" and of course, but I don't need to call up every stylist asking what they specialize in since putting what year you graduated from cosmetology school and where you began working in your description box doesn't show me your experience and where you specialize in. Very displeased with the customer service.
Great place, ask for Beckie if it's your first time. She is awesome and easy to work out appointments with. Just shoot her a text!
My wife has been seeing Christina for several months now. Every cut and color comes out better than imaginable. I highly recommend her for your needs.
I did my own dye job and ended up with horrific coloring. I called on a Saturday at 1PM and was referred to Donna Michaels who told me to come right in. I left with a beautiful color correction, a cut and style as well as feeling better than I have in a long time. I work so much that I don't get out much. Today's makeover was like a girls day with how sweet my stylist was and 5 star treatment! Thank you, A Select Salon and Donna Michaels. I left crying, but happy tears.
I saw so many good reviews online, and on the company's site, I was told walk-ins would be welcomed.
I've never felt so unwelcome. As soon as I go inside, I need to walk down a hall to even find a human being to speak to about my hair. I was open to getting anything done, so I thought I couldn't possibly be disappointed. Right away, every lady in the salon groans and complains to each other that their schedules are too full, and are essentially "passing the buck" in front of me.
Despite that I should have left right then, I figured it looked like a high quality atmosphere and their work must be better than their attitudes. I was told to go into a room with a woman who was waiting for amother customer to process.
The customer asks if she should leave, but is ultimately told to just sit and watch me get my hair cut. Extremely unprofessional.
I gave every stylist complete creative liberty, expecting SOMETHING. I ended up only getting the ends trimmed, because I assume anything else would "take too long and everyone had full schedules that day", as I was made exceedingly aware, to the point of being told "I don't have time to do anything else for you."
Word to the wise: If you don't have time to do anything but moan for five minutes about how much of an inconvenience I am by coming to your business, turn me away. Say you can't take a walk-in that day. Schedule me an appointment? Do anything but handle it like you did.
All in all, I was disappointed by A Select Salon.
