"You need a compressor" No! Maybe you need a good honest mechanic.
My built-in fridge had a freezer issue 2 years ago- the first thing the mechanic said was I need a new compressor ( the most expensive job for a fridge). I wound up trying something I found on the net that cost nothing- vacuuming the coils. It was simple and took 15 minutes. It worked.
Here we are 2 years later and my fridge is having the same problem only my vacuuming the coils did not work. The #1 rated Yelp mechanic comes out all smiles with a starched uniform and a used-car salesman personality. He used no electronic diagnosis tools and tells me after 3 minutes and ONLY touching the compressor that "you need a compressor." And if you replace the compressor he'll give me a great price on replacing the inverter board which always goes bad over time. And I should also replace the dryer too.
Obviously I was suspect and I got a referral from a friend to Clint and Tom at A & R. Tom showed up and immediately explained how my compressor was fine ( he knew nothing of the previous mechanics diagnosis- or lack thereof) He also explained I could live with the problem since it was a minor; in other words I didnt have to spend a dime if I was willing to live with this minor freezer issue. I asked how we could fix it and he diagnosed it to the inverter board. I got a very reasonable install price from Tom and agreed to have it done. The fridge is now operating with NO problems!! I do not understand how the #1 rated Yelp guy gets great ratings and A & R has poor ratings.
A &R are old school older guys who may not be charming, salesy or dressed in a starched uniform BUT they are extremely competent and honest!! Call them first.i
The only place in Vegas to quickly service my speed queen washer. Sears were going to take 2 weeks to get the part and they got it in 2-3 days which was important to me cause our tenants need to use the one washer we have. Only thing is they didnt update me on when the part will arrive so I had to keep calling to find out.
All bunch of no paid. Coward workers scared tostand uo for their right and get paid. Management doesnt care if his employees get paid. Give out. Hot bouncing. Pay check. That are weeks behind. Hello BBB SHUT THE DOORS
Worst customer service ever! 2 No shows. Dryer still under warranty. Tried to call GE to use another authorized service rep, didn't get much help from them either. Will not buy another GE appliance at all if this is what their customer service looks like.
Don't even call this company. THE WORST customer service I've ever experienced. especially from Valerie who answers the phone. As a BOSCHE rep they were one of the companies taking care of dishwasher recalls. They couldn't even take care of ordering 2 replacement kits. They just kept dropping the ball over and over. Told me to Bosche to order he parts. A Bosche rep had to call them and to tell them how to handle the problem. They are stupid and very very lazy. The tech that came to do the job was fine. But he was to order a spring for one of the doors which had broken. # weeks and 4 followup calls with promises to call me back it was never taken care of. THE LAZIEST and dumbest company. Horribly Inconsiderate. it's amazing they stay in business. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! A waste of time.
You are better off calling a monkey to fix your stuff.
Rude.
Unprofessional.
I wouldn't recommend it to an enemy.
I don't do negative reviews, but the manager here is so rude. She told me to call them today to figure out when they are going to come because she was too busy to call me...seems this happens a lot. The bad part, they came yesterday and "estimated" the cost. When I called today, she said warranty repair isn't estimated and the job was done. When I told her it wasnt, she told me I was rude and hung up. This place is scum. I've contacted my warranty and told them not to pay it. Ridiculous company. I'll be following it to see when they go out of business.
Scam artists. Sold me a refrigerator for $545+. Within a week it stopped being cold. They said it was out of freon and filled it. 2 weeks later, it stopped chilling again. This time they took it and left a crappy loaner. I never heard from them until I called two weeks later. The lady told me it was a "timer" and would be back to my house by Tuesday. That came and went, no call. I call them Saturday and they say the techs are in a meeting. I expect a call back, nope. I call and tell them I want my money back. I leave a review on Facebook. They reply that they will send me the money back by check. Havent seen or heard a thing. Will be going to small claims court for the $600 in groceries I lost because of them plus the cost of the fridge and to the BBB if I do not hear from them them by tomorrow. I should not have to chase this down. BEWARE!!
This is the most sketchy looking place I've seen in a long time. I took my ice machine there only because the manufacturer ('magic chef') said I had to get it repaired there. The place is completely disorganized and unprofessional. There are various appliances scattered around the front office in no particular order and the woman I had to deal with seems like an idiot but what can I do? I don't want to pay to repair the machine myself so I left it. Two weeks goes by and nothing. Call the shop, "oh, yeah I think we have that in the back, let me check". "oh, we still have to do more testing, probably a few more days". So I called the manufacturer and asked what's going on because I'm suspecting this shop is run by gypsy travelers. I didn't even get a receipt (which I should have insisted on, as well as take pictures of it) when I dropped it off. The manufacturer (magic chef) put me on hold (or so they claimed) to call the shop and they said the shop told them there's nothing wrong with the machine. They ran it for a week with. Okay so if there's nothing wrong with the machine then why did they insist on keeping it? So I waited a few more days and then back to the shop and demanded the machine back. So this woman gives me the machine and she says "you know it's not fixed?" What the ... So the machine is filthy and there were bugs crawling out of it when I get it home and of course it doesn't work and now 'magic chef' won't honor the warranty because the shop (or so they claim) told them there wasn't anything wrong with the machine. I don't know what kind of scam these people are running but there's some sort of collusion going on to screw people out of any warranty.
