Description

Please take a moment to see if this is something your family would be interested in.

We strive to provide opportunities for personal growth and development of our young athletes while also reinforcing positive influences, self-confidence, self-esteem and the ability to excel on and off the playing field. Through participation, we are dedicated to educate and motivate each member while encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship and fun through the spirit of baseball.

Team Age Restrictions: 10u - Born on or after May 1, 2003 (2nd year Mustang Level).

Home Field: Jim Woods Park Steubenville, OH. Winter Training Facilities: Close to Steubenville Mall.

All games are played within less than 1 hour to 1.5+ hours driving distance of Steubenville, OH. This is not a long trip travel team. We feel there is plenty of elite competition local to the Ohio Valley and surrounding areas.

Throughout our spring season we will play approximately 40 games to include 4-5 tournaments. League play is self-scheduled through “Atlantic Coast Baseball” http://www.playacbaseball.com/. Tournaments could include “Fields of Dreams” Boardman, OH , “Morgantown Marathon” Bridgeport, WV and “Battle at the 330”, Youngstown, OH to name a few.

Our age group plays "Bronco" style baseball where leading and stealing is permitted. The Atlantic Coast league also features a playoff and championship games as well as an All Star Game at the end of the season.

Practices are typically once to twice a week. Indoors would start in Feb, outside once the weather breaks.

Regular season runs April 1 – End of June – Play single games during the week and double headers on the weekends when we are not participating in tournaments. Single weekday games are scheduled with teams within closer driving ranges.

Fee Include: Insurance, Atlantic Coast League Fees, Referee Fees, Local field use fees, Tournament Fees, and Uniforms (Helmet, Baseball Bag, 2-Pant, 2-Jersey, 1-dry-fit under shirt w/lettering and Hat). A deposit will be due when commitments are made.

We are 100% a non-profit. With sponsorships this could be a $0 cost opportunity. Additionally, we pay back our families with all funds left over at the end of our regular season.

Minimal additional cost may be incurred for winter training facilities use. Team fundraising should able to cover this cost.

We look forward to this upcoming 2014 Elite Baseball season.

In addition to our Elite Season we are at point where we are nearly year around with other optional opportunities:
•Extra practices – Year round
•Various Indoor leagues ( 6-8 player, wooden bat) Dec/Jan - Feb
•We form a mixed team and participate in local rec league all-star tournaments up and down the Ohio valley. July – Aug/Sept
•Fall ball. Aug-Sept/Oct
