Good welcoming reception made me spend beyond what I had budgeted for.Honestly, I and my wife enjoyed a great time at the Hotel. God bless you, all.
Sheraton is always nice. Breakfast buffet, life music on Fridays or the rooms in general. All is perfect.
Surely past it's best.
Place needs a serious overhaul.
Fresh coat of paint needed in some areas.
I was by the poolside and the granite needs a serious scrub.
Service is average.
Huge parking lot for anyone with a car.
Clean toilets.
Come and experience the torch of quality and excellent services. Great customer care and service delivery. Unlimited fast WIFI and unlimited amenities .Location is perfect and the views are amazing. Visit the website for further goodies and bookings .
Friendly staff and ambience is amazing. Great for business meetings.. Not your average casual hangout.
The people in service make all the difference. They do remember my name after being a way for a year. Being an SPG member makes it better as you can access the club lounge and host meetings or work from there. Great views of the city from the rooms. Choose the city viewsl side to avoid the Air con noise on the other side. Great entertainment too through all the nights.
Their touch of class makes you feel like a royal. Its spacious, professional touch, five star menu, gives a royal treat.
Beautiful hotel. Very westernized architecture and interior design. Staff is incredibly friendly. Wifi is very fast. The food has been delicious. They also have a pool and several shops inside the lobby. A lot of security on the premises which make for a very safe property. The central location makes travel around Kampala very easy. The rooms have amazing views of the city.
Pool and bed hire. Friendly staff and good facilities. Poolside bar, comfortable sunbeds and thick towels. Toiletries in showers. Pleasant gardens in city centre but tranquil.
I loved the food, well prepared. The rooms were very good. Being in the city centre, the view is not great. They also have attentive and helpful security. The rates are reasonable for a hotel in it's category.
I liked the beautiful gardens there and the security is very good. its generally a nice place
Sheraton Kampala Hotel is in the heart of Kampala City, it has nice rooms, good Restaurants and Classic Bars, well organised Gym and Fabulous Swimming Pool, Offers Best Services as per Hospitality industry requires such services; the last time i was there my life was changed due to cool Experience i got, above all it has very Friendly Staffs. I love this Hotel.
Clean good service. Great food. Tight security, may grope under the pretext of searching
Nice scenery.. Good atmosphere in and around it. The only problem is the food at Sheraton is not exactly the best.
Reasonably clean, reasonably tidy. Lots of small issues with the room, hot water was not consistent, varies as used. Fixtures are crooked, cracked, etc. Ac barely worked. Outside bar is so loud keeps you up at night. Food was reasonably good, prices were high.
I have really enjoyed my stay at Sheraton Kampala. Comfortable hotel and staff. Room was clean. WiFi works perfectly! Breakfast was delicious and there were many alternatives for Vegan. View from rooms was amazing.
Excellent service, and very helpful clerks. Great meals, and a comfortable stay.
The prices are not bad. If you're traveling through Kampala and looking for a place with great services and at an affordable cost, The Sheraton is a great choice.
Sheraton Kampala is slightly old but definitely well maintained and with an excellent service. Breakfast is good with multiple options. The overall arrangement of the facilities and the location near the park make this hotel very warm. Nice!
There touch of class makes you feel like a royal. Its spacious, professional touch, five star menu, gives a royal treat.
I did not hate the place at all. The place was clean, air conditioned, tranquil - just so nice. You know, it was my first time in life to visit Sheraton. I liked what I saw.
However, the gateman at the lower gate is rude. He does not respect customers. He takes time to respond to strangers' questions.
Do something about the water that logs in the parking yard around the lower gate please
Took my daughter swimming in a pool for the first time. It was a good experience, the kiddie pool was a good depth for her, and the big pool was still large enough to have us, along with a party of children.
The new bathrooms weren't ready yet, so we used the ones in the spa, and they were spacious and clean. Service was excellent!
The building and the surrounding place is good. However the rooms are below standard (compared to other Sheraton) and service is not very good. The bathrooms are big let down and need to improve for the price they charge.
Hospitality you can only get in Uganda. Suite is well laid out and there is ample space for short to longer term business trips. Gym and swimming pool area is great to keep the fitness levels up and the buffet / dining area(s) has you picking and choosing
I love the music. The piano evening is so amazing. It is very calm and relaxing.
I stayed 4 days there.
Reception service was helpful enough. Car service inside Kampala was cheap.
I would have given four-star, if the room condition was better. It's not bad, but not SHERATON quality either. My room was not bad, but one of my colleague's room was very old and wall-painting was kind of coming out in some places.
The fifth star (not-given) was taken for food.
Wait, don't get any bad ideas. Their food is actually good. But, they lack diversity. As I was in Uganda, obviously I wanted to check out their local food. However, they barely have any local food collection in their menu.
By the wayIf you can tolerate, you should check out their street food. It's not bad.
Great room, free wifi and amazing view of the city.
I have travelled extensively into Africa and this has got to be a favourite. I was a little surprised at the metal detectors and security on arrival but most places in Uganda take safety and security very seriously.
I was most impressed with my room which boasted a comfortable bed, free wifi which didn't seem to have any limitations and an amazing view of the city. There were also complimentary bottles of water and a fruit bowl in my room when I arrived.
The staff was generally quite friendly and fluent in English so communication was not an issue.
Dining at the Seven Seas restaurant downstairs was a pleasure and I would recommend the buffet if you are looking to sample the whole variety of flavourful dishes on offer, including many authentic dishes specific to Uganda.
Food is nice and very lively at night. But the hotel decor and rooms are getting dated. The hotel could do with a refurbishment!!!
A very good 5-star hotel. The building on the outside belies the splendor inside. The service and meals are excellent. The facilities are good but getting old in some rooms. Parking is sufficient but not adequate on occasions. The best thing about the Sheraton are the extensive grounds. But the water sprinkler seems to have seen its last.
I stayed at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel in 2008 and came away less than impressed so I was a bit skeptical when I was informed a client had booked me in this hotel. I did some research and found out the hotel had been renovated a few years ago so I grudgingly agreed to stay there. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the lobby and noticed a complete change of decor as well as a change in the attitude of the staff. Check in was smooth and the front desk staff was competent and willing to assist with minor problems.
Even though I was given a key when I entered my room it was obviously not made up from the night before. These things happen from time to time so I was not overly concerned or perturbed. I was given a replacement room on the Club Floor and everything seemed fine until I turned on the air-conditioner. After an hour a leak developed so I had to change my room again. Luckily the front desk staff found a room next door so the leaking AC was not too much of an inconvenience.
Apart from the room issues the rest of my stay was efficient and unremarkable. Breakfast in the Victoria restaurant was pretty good and meals in the Equator Bar were excellent.
The young lady managing the business center was very efficient and I had clear, blemish-free copies promptly.
I had a minor accounting issue during check-out but the front desk staff resolved the issue in an efficient manner. I need to acknowledge one particular staff member. Lilly at the front desk was extraordinary in her willingness to please. She always had a smile on her face and resolved all issues without delay.
If this hotel was in New York, Tokyo or London I would have given it three stars but for central Africa I give it four stars as maintaining this level of service in this region is challenging for any company.
Quite nice hotel. The grounds are green and lovely and the rooms are good, the service is excellent and I love the food. Beautiful pool. The bathroom could use an update and they could use some softer sheets but overall it's a nice place to stay.
