“he was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”
We want to be accepted, to have health and wealth. Some even preach a false gospel with the name of Jesus attached and say that if you pray enough, you will have these comforts. But, the truth is that Jesus came for something bigger. He journeyed through our broken world and experienced plenty of hurt. He suffered, but it was all to display the glory and love of God. Do you seek something bigger in your life?
Corinthians 1:4-5 (ESV) reminds us Paul’s words: “I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge.”
Have you already forgotten to do something today? Something left undone at work? Are you grateful for something that someone did for you and did you forget to tell them thank you? Have you stopped lately and told those closest to you how grateful you are to God
Answer me quickly, O LORD! My spirit fails! Hide not your face from me, lest I be like those who go down to the pit. (Psalm 143:7)
“If God has shown us bad times ahead, it’s enough for me that He knows about them.”
Would this be enough for you? Would you be content in knowing that there are bad times ahead of you but your contentment is in the fact that God already knows about those times? This is what Corrie Ten Boom wrote as a young girl when she and her family were sent into prison camps during World War II. Her bad times were different from most of our bad times. But would we be able to say that it is sufficient that God knows about it and that He will be there.
The local engagement of the church is a rehearsal ground for the global vision. The thrust in prayer, concern, compassion, character, boldness, competency and a fearless spirit are not born abroad but within a self-edifying congregation. Affirming the church in Rome, Paul said, “I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another”. (Rom. 15:14)
The path of the justified shall be kept pure and the righteous of our Lord is with him all the time
Through history the church has consistently faced stiffest affront form outside and great subversive influences from inside. The unity of the Church in the face of these challenges has demonstrated and will continue to confirm to the world that Jesus indeed has been sent by the father (John 17:21)
When we walk before God, it is mandate to all, his divine mercy and grace will lead your ways from all the ways of this enemies

But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you of all things, and it truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you shall abide in him. I have written unto you, Fathers, because you have known him that is from the beginning.
