With the COVID-19 disruptions on international trade, Global companies prioritized first world over developing countriesfor medical and diagnostic supplies thus causing significant shortage of medical supplies coupled with increased prices.As a continuation of MHS' working partnership with MoH and government of Uganda in the provision of better healthservices, MHS has partnered with Deseret Laboratories (US based) to set up a manufacturing plant to supportgovernment's effort in nurturing local manufacturing capacity and sustaining the country's gains post Covid19 pandemicand donor funding gaps towards sustainable and affordable medical and diagnostic supplies.The plant is located on plot 16A, B and C Martyrs Way, Ntinda with the following main activities;1. To produce molecular diagnostic kits for HIV Viral load, COVID-19 PCR testing, Hep B and C.2. To manufacture hematology, clinical and immuno chemistry reagents
