The Reckoning Project is seeking to end the discrepancy between the footage of a conflict that the public sees and the evidence that criminal courts can incorporate in their proceedings. Journalists with decades of experience are working with human rights law practitioners to train researchers in Ukraine to collect testimonies that can be used in court. Beyond the scope of criminal justice, The Reckoning Project will also use the testimonies to create long lasting memorials to victims of the conflict to ensure that the experiences of Ukrainians are not forgotten.
