Usa River Rehabilitation and Training Centre & Projects

The Usa River Rehabilitation and Training Center (URRC) is an institution of the Meru Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT). Here people with disabilities are being trained as tailors, carpenters, welders and bakers.

Furthermore we have several other projects:
- Special Class: In this project people with more severe disabilites are being tought basic life-skills.
- Tanz-Hand´s: The Tanz-Hand´s-Project consits of a german-style bakery, a café and a shop.
- Clubfeet Treatment: We offer free treatment for children being born with clubfeet.
- Guesthouse: In our guesthouse we warmly welcome guests from all over the world.
- Farmers-Market: Every month we host a farmers-market in our center.
- Physiotherapy: Due to the high demand, our physiotherapy-department is also open for outpatients.
