ART of CHARE is an artistic charity set up to offer an opportunity for talented Tanzanian youngsters, living in vulnerable conditions, to pursue their education. One of the major problems of the country is the low rate of high education in comparison with other countries of the same level of development. This is due to the fact that most people cannot afford the enrolment fees. The consequences are that many talented students cannot exploit their full potential to become part of their society and contribute to its development.The beneficiaries of the project are Tanzanian youngsters who despite their enormous potential, don't have the financial means to carry on their education.I spent 4 month in Tanzania to scout the 8 beneficiaries of the project and to agree their educational program with the schools. After that I organised a photographic exhibition where limited edition portraits of the students were available, each to support one year of education.Thanks to the great support of generous donors, ART of CHARE has achieved its mission: finance the entire educational program (diplomas & professional trainings) of 8 extraordinary youngsters, allowing them to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to earn their independence and achieve their dreams.
