Ta Chiao Chou Yacht Building Company was established on July 1, 2002. Our former companies are Ta Chiao Yacht Building Company and Ta Chou Ship Building Company. Both companies are praised as yacht specialist domestically and overseas.
Ta Chiao Chou Yacht Building Company has nearly a century of yacht building experience beginning in 1919 with the first wooden, and has evolved over the years building with the highest technology materials currently available. Our former.
Companies built “sail boats” mainly – approximate 90% of our production. We have manufactured 160 sailing yachts between 54’ and 65’ over the last 27 years. Since our establishment in 1919 we have manufactured in total over 2000 yachts of varying size and use With superior quality in mind, Ta Chiao Chou has constructed yachts which are approved by IACS’s such as Lloyd, DNV and Bureau Veritas. We also have ISO9001:2000 Certification which was granted in January 2006
Recently Ta Chiao Chou has focused on the construction of larger sailing yachts. We recently delivered a 92’ Sailing Yacht and currently a 106’ and a second 92’ are under construction, all these sailing yachts are built to meet the +100A1 SSC G6 Yacht Mono LMC of Lloyd’s Register and MCA.
In our new facility at Hualien we have invested in the latest technology and machinery and are currently building a carbon racing sail boat of 111’ designed by Massimo Papaerini of Duck Design (Italy) and working with a large international hotel group in the construction of 65’ Sailing Yachts for charter - 30 of 65’. With the merger of Ta Chiao Yacht Building Company and Ta Chou Ship Building Company, we have grown into a world class facility, complete with modern technologies, ready to satisfy all our customers’ demands.
