  We stayed in this hotel 1 week ago. The hotel is located in Taroko Gorge. We like the swimming pool on the roof floor, where you see mountains. There are 4 nice jacuzzis on the roof floor, too. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Service was amazing! My friend lost his hat in the hotel, and the hotel mailed it to our next hotel in 1 day. We will come back to this hotel in the future for sure.

  One of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The location can not be any better and the rooms are fantastic. I highly suggest a River view room, the sound of the river puts you right to sleep. Also, compared to American resort prices, the spa is dirt cheap. An equivalent massage in the us is twice the price. If you happen to be in the area, this is the place to stay!

  For a 5 star hotel and our first destination for honeymoon, this place is an unfortunate letdown. I highly recommend NOT coming here if you are having a special occasion. For a decent hotel in a beautiful place, it's nice, if you're expecting quality service and experience, this isn't the place for you.
  
  Don't let how the staff's attitude affect how you see Taiwan people's hospitality. Taiwan people are kind, warm and great, just somehow the staff's here are very proud and have an attitude and they'll treat the 3rd floor guest (executive, resort floor) really well, but if you're just an ordinary guest here, then don't have high hopes, even if you have the best room for the second floor (ordinary guest)
  
  Also this place is old, so keep that in mind as the bathrooms remain in the old style. But perhaps the executive floor bathrooms are renovated.
  
  To be fair, there are some great staff here, the lady who takes you on the day tour is lovely, few of the restaurant staff's, but overall, oh my goodness.
  
  Can't wait to leave this establishment first thing tomorrow morning. 3 nights was way too long.

  One of the best hotel in Taiwan for sure. With the best scenery in Taiwan.
  The staffs were extremely friendly and helpful. Very good services.
  The food was wonderful.
  Early morning walk will let you take in the beautiful view of the gorge.

  This is an upscale resort hotel with many activities for children and an outdoor pool, tennis court and spa for adults. Even has evening performances. Many close outdoor sites to see. Start walking and follow the signs. Buffett dinner and breakfast but the Chinese restaurant looked to be off the menu. The dinning rooms were only open to hotel guests when I was there. Huge efficient staff catering to every need. Great stay.

  Wanna try the dinner buffet, which looks quite nice with much variety and cost only NT800/head +10% for two hours (fair enough for a 5-stars) but as we aren't house guests, was rejected by the well mannered staff.

  This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Taiwan - arguably worldwide. The facilities are amazing, the ambience is extremely relaxed, and the tours are very exciting. Their food is pretty good too. With that said, the Chinese part can be improved!

  Wonderful scenery, friendly service, good food and rooms are nicely designed and clean. Will definitely come back here again when we do Taroko in the future. Great for kids and adults. Kids room was a huge hit for our 4 year old.

  一晚房價約300美金，不但景觀不好(沒有！)，房間壁紙都翹起來了，床單還有破洞。想要景觀好的房間？美金600元。妳瘋了嗎？ 白楊步道的水濂洞已經關閉，check-in 時也不告知，接送服務還要收費100 元台幣。服務人員皮笑肉不笑，一切公式化。怎麼會這樣？怎麼會有人給五顆星？CP值低。住宿花蓮划算多了。 建議只要上頂樓觀望一下就好了，千萬不要來入住！

  I have stayed here 3 times, and observed the progresses made over the years. This hotel is closely surrounded by mountains, and the surrounding nature is the best amenity/decoration of this hotel. It provides a comfortable and elegant setting to enjoy the beauty of Taroko. The roof top Jacuzzi is the best place to enjoy the intimate views of mountains.

  Beautiful mountain retreat with excellent service. They offer half day tours, train station/airport pickup, buffet/set menu dinner and breakfast, executive lounge, indoor and outdoor pool facilities, gym, all in a stunning location.
  
  There are also a number of hikes in a walkable distance, you can also rent a bike from the store or take the public bus.
