在石門水庫上游的水壩，有蓄水發電功能，是很美的水壩。就在北橫公路邊，很容易被發現。由於在水壩上游山勢宏偉陡峭大量土地被開發種植水蜜桃及茶葉與農墾，又沒有做好水土保持。在下大雨後往往形成大量土石流，夾帶大量土石流入河道，水壩很快被砂石淹沒，幾乎沒有蓄水防洪功能。從水壩上面看已經是大量土石為主，水面已經不多。青山綠水景色越來越少，很多山壁都是光禿禿的，就是山崩土石流痕跡。陡峭高山不應該開發，需維持原貌，較平緩土地開發也必須做好水土保持。才能永續經營，保持好山好水。這是活生生的實例，開發過度了造成結果，值得反省。. [read more]
