堅持文化傳承和現代休閒的融合,保持創業初衷的傻勁。


賽尚──將美食佳肴的烹調,融入飲食文化的閱讀的獨立出版社,藉由食物美感來呈現色香味;也努力以美麗的圖文,描繪旅人值得停駐的世界角落,讓閱讀成為旅行的體驗,讓每一本書可以走出書架;同時賽尚也散著發夢想家的力量,讓堅持夢想的小人物故事得以實現,感動每一顆想要駕夢起飛的心靈。


賽尚於2002年由一位熱愛美食的專業攝影師所創立。因為在捕捉美感同時,也想傳達美感背後的文化故事,所以他成為一位比隨訪記者還專心聆聽的參與者。他的願望是透過精緻的圖文將中華料理與飲食文化的美味與趣味分享給更多人,甚至推廣到全世界!他在餐桌前將這「美味」的願望分享給愛書的妻子,於是兩人乘載了親友的祝福,開始這份「苦中享樂」的出版事業。


因為用心與直率,提出的每一份企劃書,打動了包括台灣大廚鄭衍基、蓋房子的小女人謝麗香、台菜經典欣葉餐廳、四川成都的河鮮王朱建忠、廈門的作家黃橙、《四川省志‧川菜志》主編向東等,共同製作出彼此的代表作,並且獲得川菜權威雜誌《四川烹飪》總編輯的賞識與支持。自2007年起賽尚每年的飲食書及旅遊出版品總是成為法蘭克福書展台灣館的版權推薦書。


還有許多有趣的出版想法在腦海裡蠢蠢欲動,有些故事已經即將完成,印成書冊的故事也在書架上排成一列,等待愛書人的閱讀與體驗,還有透過閱讀延伸出來的獨家旅遊行程隨時準備出發。能有這些成果,要感謝因為熱情的號召而投入的同好們,特別是不斷支持我們的父親,我們傳承自他誠信的做事態度,因此我們以他受人敬稱的「蔡桑」為名,「賽尚」因此而來。

About Tsai’s Idea

Tsai’s Idea is a Taipei-based publisher specializing in food culture and aesthetic experiences, such as travel literature, architecture and the narratives of individuals pursuing their dreams. We are passionate about our role as the medium between writer and reader. With beautiful illustrations and meticulous designs, our books take readers on a mental journey. We hope that these inspiring stories will touch your hearts.
Tsai’s Idea sprouted from a professional photographer’s passion for food. Because he wanted to tell about the story behind the picture, he became more attentive than a reporter. His vision is introducing Chinese food and culture into the world. The wish he told at the dinner table touched his wife. So, with blessings from friends and family, they delved into the world of publishing. Their honesty and straightforwardness led master chef Cheng Yen-chi(Taiwan), master chef Zhu Jian-zhong(Chendu, China – the city of gastronomy approved by UNESCO), self-taught architect Xie Lixiang and Shin Yeh Restaurant into publishing their works and get the support by the Managing Editor - Wang Xu Dong of Sichuan Cuisine Magazine(Sichuan, China). Along with many books have been selected as jury recommendations for the Taiwan Exhibit at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
Many ideas are still brewing in the heads of this couple, some of which are already in production. Those that have been published line the bookshelves, waiting for booklovers to savor the mental journey. These accomplishments couldn’t have been made without the support of the people who share our aspirations and, especially, our father. And so to carry on his work ethics, we have named our company Tsai’s Idea.
