The campus itself is a bit dated but most parts have been air conditioned and there's wifi in almost every classroom.

However the Campus is next door to Southpark Shopping Complex which offers dining, shopping and entertainment thru its CC10 cineplex.

What I can tell is from a current Engineering Student at UTT San Fernando Branch
It been a major debate among Young and Old Trinbagoian Adults which is the better University on the Island between UWI and UTT. To say one is better than the other can be considered biased unless you attended both universities. I can't say for UWI but UTT is a more industry focused University in terms of producing an educated workforce that can easily mend into the Trinbagoian industry. This can be shown through the course material taught which focuses more on the work specifics of a specific field more over the theory like say from UWI.
Now that I got that out of the way, from my experience with the university so far mainly the San Fernando Campus. The classes are not very large thus easier for inter student teacher interactions which promoted learning, the campus environment is favourable for learning with creature comforts such as Air conditioning in all classrooms and campus wide Wifi. You won't expect as much on campus events compared to the northern branches and the food is satisfactory.
