Professional barbering school

The Professional Barber School was founded in
2000 and has been in existence for the past ten (10) years. Since then it has been successful in training over one hundred students ninety percent of whom are gainfully employed within the Beauty Culture Industry. The School also boasts of the only recognised curriculum for Barbering within the Caribbean accredited by the National Barbering Association of Trinidad and Tobago and recommended by key stakeholders such as MIC (Micro Industry Corporated), Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs. However the most successful project of the school has to date been the opening of a barber shop and barbering course at the Youth Training Centre (YTC) in Arouca. National Barber Association of Trinidad and Tobago (N.B.A.T.T.) were formed on the 7th May, 2006, where an official lecture and workshop was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Port-of-Spain.
