Horrible experience, they never fail to prove you wrong. this is first time I'm going for my passport at 29 years, and you know I really try to have some grace with public sector workers as working with the public not easy , so I go in pleasant ,unproblematic and courteous but unfortunately it didn't work. Attitude when I ask to repeat herself because the person in the next cubicle voice overlapped and telling me i dont listen ,like she mistook a grown married woman for a child. Attitude to take out the picture , I come looking pretty hair down, not knowing hair have to be behind my ears, as its my first time, worker sucking their teeth all kind of thing. Never was I rude back . I ask her why she roughing me up, because since I come service horrible, the customer service i experienced today was not good and you all have a sign saying abuse of staff wont be tolerated but you guys are horrible at 8am.
At least she apologized. That's what the 1 star is for Smh...Yall need to do better.

went to renew my passport and first of i had to get a tracking envelope from the post office but luck for me there was a guy there who charged me $40. for one I paid it because I didn't know where the post office was. Then it was my turn to sit with this seem to be young officer who was apparently not wanting to be there, he was not helpful because I missed something on my form which he said I needed to get.I accepted that but it was the attitude in which it was said as though he was the one who had the power and authority and he wanted to let me know that. I asked him if he could look over the form to see if everything else was okay and in this condescending tone told I have to complete the info before he can look at it. Please retrain these officer in public relations. Have them learn that they are there to help people not wield their authority over them.
    Thanks

    Oct 2019.
    POSITIVES:
Moderate time: From 9:10 to 10:30am.
Not too crowded, had an appointment but wasnt asked to validate it.
Every worker from security to interviewing officer to photographer was helpful and did their job thoroughly.
    Things ran smoothly.

Took 5 weeks to collect passport at Port of Spain branch.

    NEGATIVES:
They won't inform you when your passport is ready. You have to go to collect it but the people who did come didn't have to wait more than 5-10 minutes.
    They don't answer calls.
Needs a clock and some arrows on the ground.

I wish I could give zero stars. Here's what to expect.

    - The website always seems to be down.
    - The website has incorrect information, contact details etc.
    - The contact numbers just keep ringing without answer (called 17 times in one day without answer)
    - The staff are as pleasant as a KFC attendant.
    - They don't notify you if your Passport is ready.

You're forced to get there early, join the line, wait an hour or two only to hear "Your Passport is not ready"

Why do you have phone numbers and ask the public to contact you for information if no one answers the phone?
Just another example of the nonsense going on in Trinidad. This country is circling the drain!

I don't understand why these places list phone numbers yet when you call no one answers the phone, I've been trying to get on to San Fernando office and to no avail, some of tehir listed numbers are out if service, why are all these government offices so incompetent in this country. So I should take a day off to go down there only to hear my passport isn't ready?

Staff are friendly but wait times are horrendous and it's almost always overcrowded in there.

It is in my opinion totally unnecessary for there to be contact numbers as you can almost NEVER!!!! get someone to answer. When you are finally successful after several tries the assistance is almost as good as NONE!
    Rating:ATROCIOUS!

My experience here was ok. My waiting time from entrance to exit for a renewal was about an hour. Security was helpful. The time to wait to collect my passport took longer than the time to file the application and pay. The guys at the counter for collections were slow without any efficiency or care in the world.

So after making my way to the San Fernando Immigration Office, to have my passport renewed at 11:00am. I was told to return on the next work day for the week. Too bad for me as I will have to wait until Monday of the following week as I made my way there on a Friday. Anyway I entered and stated what I was there for and was told I need to be there during the hours of 6:00am and 9:00am in order to get this done. I said, your website said during the hours of 7:00am to 12:00pm Monday to Friday. It was a total waste of my time giving the fact it's just a drop off. Better must be done......Word to the wise, get there before the hours of 6:00am to 9:00am to renew your machine readable passport and not during the hours on there website.
