Empire Cinemas is a great place to watch movies from since I was small and the cost of movies and snacks is cheaper compared to MovieTowne and Caribbean Cinemas.
There is a Doubles vender just in front this old and historic Cinema on a daily basis, Good tasting Doubles,a lil too much salt in their fare for ole people like us,but the pepper in their sauces "lashing",they are open from 7am we think to 2pm,give them a try when next in San Fernando,an the Doubles have Channa in it eh.
I wouldn't give a 5 star due to the Cinema being a little dated, but I must say I was deeply surprised. The seats were in good condition, the screen was very large and modern, the combo options were good and priced right. The chicken jamaican patties were horrible though. Overall I'd say this is a very reasonably priced Cinema that cater for persons on a budget during these hard times. Parking was good too, only thing I didn't see was security.
Convenient in San Fernando. I bottom of highstreet.. Going up in a small road. Was my place after Cape exams
This cinema has been around for a long time, it's closed and reopened but has always been a part of the city of San Fernando. It's a multiplex now with I think four (4) screens. My one and only negative comment would have to be the seats. They are not the most modern or comfortable, the seat is well padded but the backrest is not adjustable not are the hand rests.
Good cinema but needs more things in the concession area
Work on your customer service above all else. Be friendly to customers and SMILE. Doesn't matter how much I gotta spend if you cant smile or atleast be friendly then it doesn't make sense patronizing.
Didn't like the attitude of the lady at the concession counter she appeared as if she were annoyed and doing me a favour. I decided to post this review because of the guy who had a similar experience in an earlier review. I've been going to Empire Cinemas for almost a year and have always had to put up with this. The guy is a lot more friendly and dedicated and he is the main reason I even came back after the first few times but Im growing tired of seeing that woman's face at this point of time.
Lady at the snacks counter needs a lesson in customer service, the guy is good.
Very family oriented staff my kids prefer to go there than anywhere else
Very friendly n helpful staff...nice ambiance...great place to go to view a movie n relax
Nice clean surrounding, small cafe snacks available
Good pricing but needs to upgrade their 3d
Always pleasant experience
Rather tgis cinema than any other
Great place if you're looking to save some money on a movie but there are better places if you're willing to spend a little more.
Great viewing without pocket-buster prices!
The cinema upstairs is warm; they need to fix their ac
Clean Environment,Air Conditioned and Good Clear Quality sound Screens.
A nice place to watch a movie.
Its ok and thats about all i can say.
Not the best location parking wise.....but they're relatively cheap and not bad to catch a quick movie....you can general sit where ever you want since they tend to not be that crowded
Good venue to watch movies without too much crowding. The screen quality is excellent.
It is safe and for anyone without a car they can easily hire a taxi to the cinema.
Love the prices. Cheap , somewhat comfy and nice helpful staff. I always visit
A variety of movies 4 different movies at same time
We went to the opening of Fantastic Beasts in 3D. The projector lens was dirty and we had to ask for it to be cleaned. The movie itself was dark and blurry. They stopped the film, cleaned the projector again- same problem. We couldn't continue watching, and had to leave half hour into the film. Best part- we received no compensation, and not even an apology! $45 x 2 down the drain...
This can be considered a landmark as the cinema has been around for some time.
After renovations it offers three screens.
Prices are resonable.
Typical theatre food and drink at concession.
You are sure to get tickets as most people rush to multiplexes.
The seating here was not comfortable for me. No headrest. Its not the modern reclining type chairs.
One of the screen even has a valley.
Neverthless its a classic to me.
Beautifully renovated cinema. Located on Penitence Street. Parking available Cinema fees reasonably priced
