One of the biggest problems in Istanbul is the fact that there aren't any city parks. Bak the Freedom Park or "Özgürlük Parkı" is the closest to a city park with its regular farmer's market (Organik Pazar), its small but efficient amphitheatre and its architecture. Its not just a gras with some trees and flowers but also somewhere you can get out of the city life and come meet nature. It's the perfect place to take a breath.

Great park for Istanbul(Anatolian) residents. A well cared park designed for joggers, bikers, kids and dogs. Also have tennis and basketball courts and a cafe inside with average food. The only downside is some retarded dog owners and some teens that make noise.

A pleasant useable park, plenty of grassy and treeclad areas, no formal fussy flower beds as found in other Istanbul parks, excellent large well equiped children's playground, encircled by long walking and cycling path perfect for all ages. In short a slightly shabby but comfortable park with excellent layout and facilities. 5*

This park is truly an oasis in a bustling city. There are two good playgrounds, pretty good restaurant, a nice picnic area, a track, and a soccer pitch.

Beautiful and peaceful. Only place where you can take rest. If you want you can exercises on few facilities. Shortly, we have our all needs in freedom Park.

The place I feel exactly free, I feel like I'm home. I miss freedom in Turkey. The theater at the center of park is also worth visiting. There is the theater festival each year in this theater.

One of my favorite places in Istanbul. Good for a peaceful walk in a clean and green park that is actually quite large for this city. A rare oasis in a sea of concrete where you can slow down and breathe. If only Istanbul had more places like this.

May be the only park that gives you peace in Istanbul. Even on a crowded day, you can still feel as if youre at a park and not in the rat race. Tennis courts, basketball courts, multiple playgrounds for kids that are kept up tp date and renovated. A cafe with some pretty good food, desserts, and coffees - though the service is always slow. Lots of green, and over quite a large area.
