  Dr Demirel is an excellent and competent vet. During our stay in Istanbul he took care of our two cats our of which one was diabetic. He helped us to manage this situation and enabled our Carlos a livable live with this desease. You can reach him any time and he gives best consultation. We can strongly recommend him, his wife and the entire team and it was a pleasure to meet him. All the best from Yvonne, Bernd, Kira and our new family member Spencer (Beagle hound).

  This is the best veterinary clinic in Istanbul. Dr. Akif and Dr. Filiz survived my double yellow headed amazon three years ago, also for my grey parrot this year.

  It's been almost one year that we take our dog to Dr. Akif. We are very glad we found such an experienced vet here in Istanbul where it clears lack resources to take care of our pets. Our bulldog has a serious chronic disease and gladly due to the knowledge and international networking of Dr. Akif it's been under control. It hasn't been easy, many were the urgent calls at odd hours and weekends that were promptly answered and for two times we needed to rush to take our dog into the clinic where he stayed a couple of nights to recover. And since we cannot leave him at any pet hotel because of the special feeding and detailed medication that he takes, Dr. Akif even hosted our dog for a week while we traveled abroad. For us foreigners that have a lot of challenges - language included - it is relieving to have such a competent clinic with friendly staff.

  It is really privilege to find world class Vets in Istanbul. I have been taking my dogs to this surgery whenever we visit Turkey and we have had good experiences every time. Also all the staff at this surgery to be very polite, caring and informative. I highly recommend it anyone, who looks a professional care for their loved ones

  Dr. Akif Demirel is one of the finest veterinarians in the Middle East. As a colleague I have known for 20 years, he is one of the most educated, professional veterinarians to be found anywhere. I am not surprised that his local veterinary competition is authoring poor reviews about his skills. It's a situation that happens everywhere. Ghost reviews they are called. It says more about those posting the reviews than about Dr. Demirel.
