I recently visited the Zorlu PSM for the Sonar Istanbul conference as a speaker and member of a presenting team. Aside from a few broken-down elevators and escalators, the venue was alright. However, the staff at the venue was disappointing. For some reason, the only member of our team to be consistently refused his proper credentials throughout the day was our South African team member, who was also a speaker at the event. While the rest of us thought it was just a miscommunication, we later found out first hand that the staff at the center, particularly those working under Gürol Saraç, seemed to not take our colleague seriously and treated him in front of us as someone unwanted.
In the end, it took three of us far more effort than should have been necessary simply to get our colleague his proper credentials and access to the full event. I can’t know if the fact that our colleague was quite possibly the only person of color to attend the event that day was the reason why they treated him that way throughout the day, but it certainly seemed that way. Sadly, friends tell me now that this isn’t uncommon there.
I will think twice before visiting Zorlu PSM again with anyone whom I want to be treated respectfully by venue staff.response / report this review -

It was a great experience being there. The theater halls have plenty of room. And you get a splendid view of the stage no matter where you are seated. Zorlu PSM also has one of the largest capacity theater halls in Turkey with 2 balconies and a total of 2200 seats. I would recommend everyone to attend a performance there.

Great acoustics, excellent sound system with deep and rich bass sound. However, we don't feel good about people smoking cigarettes one after another at Nicolas Jaar event. Nobody from the venue were around to warn people.
