It would be a crime to leave Istanbul without having breakfast at this place. Make sure you try their Turkish breakfast spread and pancakes. If it feels too much don’t worry. Their unlimited tea will help you wash it all down.
really nice place, and nearby
it only took us a lovely 10 mins walk to reach the place.
breakfast is really tasty and delicious.
the table is a set of +9 items and you can add to the order anything from the menu.
the staff were friendly and helpful
the service is quick.
i would advise anyone to come over.
Excellent breakfast even at 2:00 pm! Very friendly staff and fast service. We ordered the first breakfast set option on the menu. Everything we had was delicious. Definitely recommend.
Great selection, freshness, taste, and quality of food. Service and courtesy one of the best in Istanbul. I visit frequently and fall in love a little more every time. Definitely one of the best breakfast joints in the city!
I should put 5stars as the other, because many other places are overrated.
Good quality food, best fresh pomogranade juice in the city so far, courtesy, price.. all is good except I haven't found a cat inside. Then would be really perfect 😉
It's a lovely little place, great vibe and the wait-staff are ready to help out should you need help in choosing an option. We had a massive Turkish breakfast with different cheeses and breads, vegetables and condiments. Their milk and molasses were out of this world. Cl
Have been for breakfast about 4 or 5 times now and it is consistently excellent - both the food and the service. I suspect that most of their produce comes from local farms. They also give you never ending tea, it is quite a nice gesture of generosity. Thank you guys for the tasty breakfasts and professionalism. Highly highly recommended!!!
Their menemens are delish.
Recommended as one of the best places to have Turkish breakfast in Istanbul did not disappoint!
Ate here this morning for the second time and was every little bit as good as the first with consistent lovely service.
Wait staff are very friends and attentive and remembered us from the first time and welcomed us warmly.
We ordered one of the sharing platters with a range of savory and sweet condiments amongst of which were different types of cheese to unrefined beautiful honey.
Would recommend a side of menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs with tomato and any number of other yummies).
Definitely give this place a try!
So far we have been twice in 4 days because it was so good, and we are already planning our next one. The service is incredible and everyone is very sweet and accommodating, happy to explain and attentive, they're never far away with a tea refill.Three of us shared a breakfast spread with bread and cheese, olives, eggs and savoury and sweet condiments, a stand out is the honey paired with clotted cream.
Cute little place with really good food and a nice atmosphere. Beware though, we got there by following directions from google maps and we had to go up a ridiculous incline. Take the route from Taskim square and it'll be a decline for the most part.
Was there around 9 in the morning. The food was delicious and it was worth it despite the steep hillside road you need to climb if you are getting there from Tophane tram station. Service was good and swift.
We had a perfect brunch there. I loved everything about this place. The encironmet was good. Outside seating area and nice furniture. The food was great. Great staff. Happy to come here again.
Drop by if you're close
My friend and I had a perfect breakfast at Van Kahvalti Evi. Ordered the big breakfast for two persons (50 lira altogether) as we were very hungry. It was delicious - a huge selection of beautiful cheeses, spreads, olives, dips, etc. + turkish tea gratis.
It was sooo much we couldn't finish everything, and that happens rarely :D
A must go place!
Very good breakfast BUT We are almost forced out because other people are waiting to eat. I understand that totally but i can not accept that my food is taken from the table before i say im done eating.
Very good food. Little bit expensive. Bad service. Bad bread.
Great foodI didn't have the chance to take a picture before we start eating it's actually delicious.
We normally like to try a new place everyday for meals but after we found this amazing restaurant, we literally came each day for breakfast and even took home extra ordered food for dinner.
And then there's the incredible service from ALL the staff.
Excellent Van-style breakfast. 25 TL each for two people or more. If there are more of you, they may allow you to have a deal - we were four and paid 75 TL for breakfast for three (though with unlimited bread and tea for everyone), which was more than enough food!
Everything is great But they need to have fresh baked bread like the country side Order shakshoka you won't regret it.
Every time when i'm in Istanbul, i'm visiting this place. You will get good quality food for your money. A recommended place!
