Before departing from Sultanahmet Square, it is useful to mention two places that are not very promised but will tell a lot about their enthusiasts. One of these is the Carpet Museum, located in the north-eastern Imaret of Hagia Sophia, with one of the world's richest carpet collections. In the Seljuk and Ottoman periods, a museum exhibiting historical and artistic values with an ancient Islamic tradition, donated to camelliere, tombs and külliyeler, and with the unique designs of its own regions, with the most rare carpets and crocodiles woven from 14th century to 20th century in various weaving centers of Anatolia Persian and Caucasian carpets are also exhibited.
