Absolutely amazing. One of the best museums. The audio guide is a must. The tour cab easily take 2 hours. Highlight of the city for sure.

The Museum of Innocence (Turkish: Masumiyet Müzesi) is a novel by Orhan Pamuk, Nobel-laureate Turkish novelist published on August 29, 2008. The book, set in Istanbul between 1975 and 1984, is an account of the love story between the wealthy businessman Kemal and a poorer distant relative of his, Füsun.

Probably the best museum you can ever imagine. Although it doesnt necessarily mean it will become just your cup of coffee, the idea, depth, connection, magic, atmospere and complexity of the story and life period it shows is amazingly overwhelming. While going there without any special purpose and background knowledge, without even touch a book or author of it, after, when reading a book, it had been slowly riping inside me into the flavor of extraordinery deep story of love, patience, suffering or happiness. Aferim!

Local, personal, touching storytelling at it's best. Check it out even if you haven't read the novel. You will never forget it. Truly one of the best experiences I've ever had in a museum.

Wonderful museum, definitely worth visiting. Every stand and installation fascinates and excites. If you are a fan of Orhan Pamuk and his Museum of Innocence, you must go there.

I think this was not exactly how Pamuk had imagined the museum (based on the interviews with the author I have read). Go see it if you read the book or interested in late 20th century Istanbul but don't expect much.

A very nice place to stay and a very very friendly staff, I loved the place and missed it when we left.

Love Orhan Pamuk's work and thoroughly enjoyed the book of the same name. Walking through the museum makes the novel and it's characters so real. I had to keep reminding myself that they were fictional characters. A visit is highly recommended. Well curated tour. Definitely try and read the book before you visit. Admission 25 lira. Audio with headset 5 lira.

This museum is an amazing capsule of culture, time and shifting national influences. Each vitrine could start a new novel. The sense of narrative through the building is an almost overpowering flavour, that stays with you long after leaving. A precious place that I hope remains safe.
