The quality and serving area of the Hotel has gone down over time. It has the unique advantage of being the only hotel of the Airport. Staff is always smiling and helpful. I would recommend the pastas!
Overcrowded and its dirty. Big airport, but facilities there are not enough. Can’t wait to build the new one :)
Their air side rooms are very convenient for a long transfer time. No need to go thru customs twice, you get out of the plane, go thru a quick hand luggage security check and go to hotel by feet, then take your next flight just few steps from hotel.
Moreover, the staff was super reactive to our requests (immediate action)
Highly recommended !!!!
It is good airport, many chair in every place so all passangers who stayed for transit could rest. But for facility 'mecit' (turkish for muslim pray room) is not enough, i just only found 1 pray room in whole area i have visit, whereas its big airport
.we stayed here just to freshen up as we knew after an 18 hours flight from Cuba via Caracas, Venezuela we will need it as we also planned to do the 12:00 to 18:00 Complimentary city tour offered to us by Turkish Airlines! This hotel is only 5mins walk away from the airport if you don’t wanna wait for the shuttle! Sometimes it is maybe better to take the shuttle as it is a nerve racking experience negotiating your way through the crazy traffic at the airport! To get into the hotel grounds you have to passed armed security and never even did we stay in hotel where you have to have your bags pass through a scanning device and an armed guard & his assistant mans it! Wasn’t sure if we should feel very safe or very worried?..We were booked in promptly and the receptionist was pleasant! The hotels foyer area is large wit a restaurant right there, very well decorated! We liked the size of the even with a small lounge, the bathroom was also nice with a bathtub & shower, a safe & Complimentary tea & coffee! With our book out which was at about 23:30 they provided a shuttle ride to the airport! This hotel comes highly recommended by us,.
My experience with this place was terrible. It's very obvious they do not like Americans here. I was on a 20 hour layover in the Istanbul airport and desperately needed somewhere to sleep, as I had jetlag and hasn't slept very well for the 4 days I was on vacation in Greece.
I'm not sure if anyone is aware of the relations between Turkey and the U.S., but they are not good at all right now. At this time, visas are not being issued to American citizens because of political matters between the two countries, and the environment here is a bit hostile.
The people who work here at the airport are very rude, but I'll cover that in a different review shortly.
My experience at the TAV Airport Hotel was a disgusting experience, but I had nowhere else to stay as I couldn't leave the airport due to not having a visa.
Upon approaching the counter today, I was not greeted. I had to wait for the man at the counter to finish stamping papers before he even acknowledged my presence. I waited for a minute at the desk before he even looked up at me.
I asked him how to get a room. He said "there are no rooms here", and shoed me away with his hand. I told him I found the hotel through a booking engine and it said there were 5 more rooms available. Again, he told me to go away. He didn't apologize for the lack of availability or refer me anywhere else for that matter. I was desperate for a place to stay, so I sat in the lobby until I would be able to figure something out.
I went online to the booking engine and it confirmed there were still 5 rooms left at a rate of $108€ or $127 U.S. Being desperate, I booked booked room on the booking engine in hope that when another person checked out, I could check in. the booking was confirmed and I had my room. I then returned to the counter and asked for the room. The man at the counter looked at my reservation and started arguing with me and telling me I had booked the wrong hotel and to go find them. He argued with me that I should've listened to him the first time and left. He said "is your fault you didn't believe me! Now its your problem" I didn't leave. I calmly sat in the lobby for about 10 minutes and cancelled my reservation with "the wrong hotel". Out of curiosity, I called the number to the wrong hotel, and guess who's phone rang? Yup. The man at the counter. After I called a few times to confirm it was indeed NOT THE WRONG HOTEL he called someone on the phone and and yelled across the counter to ask me my name. I told him, and about 15 minutes later, he calls me up to the counter and tells me that I'm lucky they didn't consider me a no-show. WHAT?! He then started the process for booking a room for me and was very short with me when getting my information. No please. No thank you. Nothing. He didn't even bother telling me what he was charging me when he ran my card. When the booking was complete, he put the key card on the table and said "302, that way" and nodded his head in the direction of the room. Now of course, I expected to be billed the $127 for the night under my original reservation. Nope. Guess again. I was charged $224 for this transaction which led me to have a negative balance in my bank account. I was done dealing with the man at this point. I was tired, hasn't slept in 4 days and wasn't allowed to leave the airport to find another hotel due to visa restrictions. I called room service and asked if they had a European charger so I could charge my American phone. The person on the phone told me to go to reception ( great) to get one. When I arrived at reception, I had to wait for the man to finish clicking his buttons again before he even looked in my direction. When he finally did, he looked at me like I was bothering him. I politely asked for a charger and he got frustrated and finally gave me one. I went back to my room and proceeded to cry my eyes out because of the terrible situation I was already in due to my 20 hour layover and TURKISH AIRLINES not being willing to help an American in their main hub.
This was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! BEWARE AMERICANS!
Very nice and neat hotel. It’s a good place to get some rest if you have a long layover at the Ataturk Airport
I had a one night on the land-side part. I had booked the room in advance. It could be a bit tricky to get to the hotel, I found my way at night by asking from any airport-staff I saw on the way, but it is only 5m walk from the terminal, not a big deal. The checkin was fast and easy, the staff were friendly. The room was spacious, no windows, but who wants windows at a on night transit really. It was a very comfortable, clean room. Many things on the mini-bar, complementary coffee, tea and water bottle. Quiet and nice.
Super easy check in and check out. Nice, quiet rooms with plenty of space. Wake-up call is a single ring, so make sure to set your own alarm. A little on the expensive side, but probably your only option in the airport.
I had a very nice experience with this hotel. Very clean rooms, large bathroom, and a large selection for mini-bar. The staff is even better. After waiting for more than 2 hours in line for passport control, I left Ataturk around 11 pm. One of the security man that works for the airport escorted me all the way to the hotel, which was very nice. At the hotel, the desk employee was very friendly and polite. I will stay there again if I will have a long layover.
Very bad servic in ataturk airport
For iranian peaple
Please chang your mind
It's a nice and clean Hotel. Very useful for having a rest during overnight stopover. Breakfast is simple but o.k. Service is a bit depending but mostly friendly and helpful.
Disturbing is a little bit the running people's noise one floor higher during the night from the terminal. Guest rooms are directly below.
Helpfull and friendly staff. Felt comfortable in an emergency time. Rooms were excellent and value for money. Shuttle was on time to take us to airport.
There are no signs visible inside the airport nor information desk about Tav hotel . You can not get a shuttle from the airport to the hotel because no info desk . If you walk to the hotel you need to pass heavey security with loaded mashine guns and you feel insecure and in dangerous zone . The hotel itself was clean and OK .
Very convenient as the hotel is just inside the airport. Rooms are really comfortable - just no real windows to outside, but a fake illumination.
had a great stay. lovely hotel. be back again. great staff. attention to details. big rooms with super duper comfy beds. the drinks were to die for and the snacks were delectable. great location near everything.
Amazing hotel inside the international transit/departure area. It has five star ambience and facilities. If you are stuck at the airport for a long time and want to take a nap and clean yourself up then this is the right place. The charges are per hourly buckets and hence you will not end up paying for a full night if you want to use it for a few hours. Once you are in you won't hear any noise from outside and that gives you a peaceful sleep.
