Taksim Square is the center of Istanbul. Many hotels and restaurants are in or near the Square and on Istiklal Street.

Once upon a time center of Art,music and bohemian life, Still a few thousand bars and cafes just in Taksim, weekends few millon people walks on İstiklal st. İf you know where to go , Taksim is still the best place for entertainment in İstanbul. Cheers!

It's the centre of Istanbul very nice big place the metro is crowded but definitely it's the best way to use to avoid the traffic

There are many restaurants on the alleys. Don't just walk along the main street. The street has many banding shops,popular location,Shping,eating,walking

Wonderful historic square in the heart of European Istanbul. LOTS of tourists. Given the state of global politics, one needs to be careful of your surrounfings. Still worthy of a visit when visiting Istanbul. Wonderful restaurants galore.
