Great place to stay in Istanbul on asian side. Directly on the Bosporus with awesome view from terrace while dining and from the rooms as well. Nice staff, though some are not familiar with english. Great breakfast. Nice rooms and good shower. I was on a quick business trip and missed a tooth brush provided which is in my opinion a must in a 5 star hotel. There is a conference room as well. All in all great experience.

This is a spectacular hotel. Our favorite getaway in Istanbul. Located on the Asian side - in the charming village of Cengelkoy - Sumahan is an oasis from the wonderful craziness of the city. The hotel has a private boat (The Sumahan 1) which can take you across the Bosporous to European side (it's a terrific 20-25 minute ride). The rooms are immaculately kept, the hotel is elegant and beautifully designed and the restaurant is fantastic. The garden is lovely, directly on the Bosporous and the Adirondack chairs and tables are perfect for counting boats (or dolphins) and watching the water. The hotel hamam (Turkish Bath) is a great retreat and the owners and staff are topnotch; attentive, generous, accommodating. We've been fortunate to stay at Sumahan several times over the past few years and will continue to make this our go-to whenever in Istanbul. Worth every cent (and Lira).

This place is absolutely amazing. if you ever find yourself in Istanbul, and you should if you ever have the chance. Go to Sumahan on The Water it's a beautiful property.
