Beautiful boutique hotel in a stunning restored house over 1,000 years old in Midyat, Turkey. Could be great but the staff need better training. Gorgeous setting for the restaurant but lack of a non-smoking section was a killer for me. Turks smoke like chimneys while they eat. The atmosphere at breakfast was ethereal with soft music until a staff member decided to put the soccer game on TV. I love soccer but it ruined my breakfast experience. Reception asked me every 20 minutes starting at 8.00 am when I was going to check out. Check out was at noon. Very annoying. Still a lovely property and the nicest bathroom of any hotel yet in Turkey. Hotel and local authorities need to take the issue of aggressive children begging for money seriously. It makes it impossible to visit the old part of the city. Reception had little info for what to see or do. I knew more than they did. Disappointing but still worth a visit.
The manager of the hotel does not understand customer satisfaction. Otel muduru musteri mennuniyetinden bi haber.
