This place is very nice even though very steep and narrow road towards the top where you can reach and see the old Cathedral, its kitchen etc. The location is awesome, you can see one part of cappadocia from the top.

It’s the one of the historical art from Selçuklu Empire i’ve seen on capadocia trip. Selime tomb Altough dominate this area hundred of years. Why?

Located around 1 hour drive from Goreme. We did first our 3.5 km long walk in the Ihlara valley, said by our guide to have received its name from kihlara or warm springs. Thrn it was a 10 min drive to Selime. It requires a steep climb-up, but the views are worth it! Enjoy it

Very amazing views. You can still see some paint in the cathedral from the monastery. It was also an inspiration for Star Wars episode IV

Try all the levels by climbing slowly. Beware of soft nature of earth. People always slip on steep slopes. You have an anazing view from the upper level. Due to flow of water the floors are not even. So mind your steps whether you are hoing up or down.

One of the tourist attractions in Cappadocia, what you should know before visit it:
- Carved out of the high rocks next Ihlara Valley.
- It is part of the Green Tour, and you will have between 30-45 minutes to spend around here.
- Reserve 5 minutes to visit Selime Sultan Tomb, just crossing the street. You will get a nice view of Selime Catedral.
- It's worth, and you will have nice pictures.

Interesting place and yes you need to be good at scrambling but easy enough. There aren't many rooms to look at but the kitchen monastery church and cathedral are worth the effort. Views spectacular.
