  The rooms, infrastructure are good, staff is friendly. Outside pool only for men. But nice to have women's section exclusively or then mixed pool, sauna and hamam in the main building.
  
  The meals unfortunately terrible. Nothing freshly cooked at this time of the year. Why not make it simple and serve local dishes? Maybe only a choice of two meals, but these then freshly made?
  
  When travelling without car, a bit difficult to get there, but still possible to take a bus/dolmus from Rize to Ikizdere (TL 8) and then a cab (TL 25) to the hotel.
  
  It's a beautiful valley for walks along the river Cimil Dere until you reach the waterfalls or then up one of the nearby hills. To walk from Ilica Köyü (Ridos Otel) to the close by plateaus it's a bit far in one day. But even to see Çağrankaya Yayla towards Karos Tepe is great. In summer maybe possible to join a Jeep Safari.
  
  All in all would recommend the hotel due to a lack of alternatives at Ikizdere itself (Ikizdere has all needful infrastructure, i.e. public transport, shops, restaurants).
