Bu muhteşem bina 560 yıldır okul. Gerçi Rum Ortodoks Patrikhanesi çok yakın olduğu için çoğu kimse burayı Patrikhane sanıyor. Marsilya'dan gelen kırmızı tuğlalarla tüm çephesi kaplanmış. Bir zamanlar buraya "Kırmızı Mektep" denirmiş. Bu görkemli binayı 1881 yılında aynı okuldan mezun ünlü mimar Dimatis projelendirmiş. Kuş bakışı bakıldığında uçan bir kartalı andırıyormuş. Bir tepe üzerinde yapıldığı için bir şatoyuda andıran bu okula ancak özel izinle girilebilirmiş. Şu an 53 öğrenci 20 öğretmenle eğitime devam ediliyormuş.Bu ihtişamlı okulu Haliç'ten görmek bile güzel. Mutlaka görün.

We were lucky and the caretaker was just opening the gate and he invited us to come inside. Lovely little church, mostly restored and a few little remnants of original artwork and frescos. There is an opening in the floor down to a myriad of tunnels which originally went to the Hagia Sophia, but alas are not accessible to visitors.

Posto affascinante, ma la famiglia che abita il cortile della chiesa non è proprio simpaticissima niente foto e poco tempo per guardarsi i preziosi affreschi
