Slow service (we even had to be for a second menu with two persons), average food (fish was dry as baked to long) and charging for everything extra. For the toilet you pay and they automatically charge 10% of the bill extra for the 'incredible' service. An absolutely no go in Istanbul, especially for a meyhane!!!

    Historical location in Istiklal area.
Very typical meze and good Turkish /Greek style food.

It was sad to see such an interesting restaurant street almost empty, with the staff of every restaurant "fighting" for each customer.
The restaurant was ok, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food, maybe because there was not many people eating, was only average.

I stumbled on this place my first night in Istanbul. It was by far the best looking and most crowded place on this very packed side street. Some seem to think it has a Greek flare which it might (I did not notice). I did have the stuffed grape leaves, fried calamary, octopus salad, etc. That is very Greek, but I would also say Turkish. Four reasonable plates of food (meze) set me back about 40TL which is not to bad. I would go back
