Özgür was beyond friendly and was absolutely not pushy with sales at all. He demonstrated a deep understanding of traditional dowry carpets and we were lucky to have learned from him! As a beginner or novice carpet collector, I felt confident that he was providing fair prices for great quality. As a tourist in Cappadocia, it would have been easy to take advantage of me. But this was not the case. I even compared the pricing to several other vendors in the area, through trusted sources, and found that everything about this establishment is genuine. Best place to buy and learn about the history of a turkish carpet!! Erkan, the owner, is wonderful and so friendly. It was an amazing mini tour. We were here for an hour learning about the rich history of the store. He patiently explained the history and styles of the various carpets, happily pulling out dozens of carpets while doing so. He's honest and gives a great price for the carpets. Don't go anywhere else. Buy your turkish carpets from Goreme here!
