Traveled there with my son in 2000. He is a severe psoriasis sufferer. The treatment worked in the three weeks we were there. Personally I think it more down to the spring water rather than the fish pools as I drank it also and, having a couple of minor skin complaints myself It cleared them up too. Be aware though, this is not a cure. The benefit lasted about three month and then the symptoms returned.
At the time of our visit the place was undergoing some rebuilding and refurbishment. The accommodation we were in was old and, as it was only March/April was up to eyes in snow and freezing. We were compelled to buy an electric fire to keep ourselves warm. Trouble was if you tried to run it on more than one bar it tripped the circuit for the building, Also, your room is not cleaned (expect to do it yourself) also the water is from the springs and is not hot enough for showering or shaving, so an electric kettle is an essential. Finally, the food they served you was dire. If you are planning to diet while there, you are onto a good thing.
On the plus side, walking around there is brilliant, miles of hills and valleys and hardly a stranger to see. Not quite the end of the world, but you can see it from there.
Anyhow, all this was 12 years ago and things have hopefully picked up. Be aware though, my son returned there about 7 years ago in summer where then it is something of a spa for people and, some of the locals are not happy you sharing the pools with your skin complaints and yes they make you aware of it.
    OK to sum up
1 Take a travel kettle (it's all spring water, so boil it before you drink it)
2 If you visit in the winter months, take an electric heater. You will very likely need it if only to dry your towels after use in the pools.
3 Take something to occupy your time as there is not much else to do. (I should imagine the internet is available there now though, so that should help).
Lastly, and this is a bummer. If you like an alcoholic drink. Take your own, as it is not sold there. Enjoy.
