Most of the teacher's can't speak in English properly and some even say they don't like to do it and some of them speak around 20 minutes in English and all the other times in turkish so how should an international student underestand the courses., also 9 from 10 conferences that are made for students as part of the lectures are in turkish so again if you are an international student they tell you we are sorry but its in turkish so you should go home and most of the other stuff can't even speak in English for example if you want a glass of water you should either speak in turkish or ask someone who knows turkish to get it for you. they like to to get more students to come here and its for the sake of making more money and in the other side they don't try to improve the level and quality of the teacher here, there are some good teacher's and professor's here that speak in English fluently and only speak english in class but they are very few most of them don't. this university needs you to have an ielts score of at least 6 in order to be able to attend to the under graduate program but im sure if you take an english ielts test from the teachers most of them get a score of 5 or below in it.

An advice to all the international students who are thinking of applying to this university, please don't get your time wasted. This is the most horrible university I've ever seen. Although it has several branches around the world but the standards of the university are very local. They tell you to pay $8000 per year to get a decent education in English but you'll end up getting fooled because they use so much Turkish, majority of the lecturer's level of English is weak and they decide to switch to teaching in Turkish anytime and their excuse will be that some students don't understand English!?? Then why is it an international university in the first place?? Last part which I call it discrimination against international students by which they can allow Turkish students to do presentations(you'll feel like a deaf person when they present in Turkish, like you literally won't understand) in Turkish and even write their exams in Turkish which shouldn't be happening so all students can be equal! Just don't waste your time and money on this university which is below standards.

The universty student affairs is horrible, the registeration at the university takes 5 hours, they are not organized and dont give proper information about papers needed for the residency permit. They do the registeration for the residency permit for their international students, but if there is a problem with it they will ask the student who knows nothing about permits in turkey to go suffer and figure it out for themseleves instead of helping them.

Their online course registeration was delayed many times without informing the student, and their student online plaform always has problems and doesnt work, which means you cannot request papers needed for other purposes.

This university is a great place which provides the students with a wide range of programs. Main campus is placed in the historical centre of the city and thus is very easy to reach even from the distant locations, which is very important for such a megalopolis as Istanbul is. The level of education provided is satisfying, however, it has one major miss. The entire system (except for easy enrollment terms for International students) is very Turkish-oriented. For instance, medium of instruction in the faculty of my choise is supposed to be English. Nevertheless, teachers allow students to present in Turkish and during some lectures the instructors feel free to switch to Turkish while explaining the topic. Other point, which is very important for me as a student is the very insufficient level of organization. And in this case I am
not even speaking of the malfunctioning electronic communication system which sometimes choose who has a "priveledge" of knowing when exams or classes are being switched or delayed. Again - the staff and even the website are very Turkish-oriented. Half of the staff working in faculty dean, rectorate and student have a knowledge of English which is enough just to be able to say "I don't speak English". And in most of the cases you don't even have an alternative choise, so you either go away with your problem being unresolved, or try to solve it relying on Google Translate/personal knowledge/other students (mostly doesn't work as well)/Krishna's powers. Same goes with website: the courses are supposed to start 18th of September, and before that time we have to arrange our schedules within certain time period. However, the only source of this information, which is academic calendar is still available in Turkish only, thus, if you are an international student, you have to figure it out using the abovementioned methods. Nice job for almost 8,000 USD per year, right?
Moral of the fable: if you fluently know Turkish, this university has everything you need and some extra. If you don't - don't even try.

Maybe students don't cherish a lot yet this university has one of the most central and valuable territory of Istanbul Beşiktaş.. easy to reach from all the ways.. absolutely must be seen and visited.
