Shame that this is no longer a museum, not much to see aside from the building and the tiled floor where the Emperors in exile where crowned. The mosaics have all been removed or covered. The building dates to the 4th century, and was where the Council of Niceae was held, later in the 8th century, the 7th Eccumenical council was held here as well.

Beautifully restored church/mosque/museum, now mosque once more. I found it difficult to believe how much higher present day ground level is compared to when this building was constructed. Well worth the visit. There is no entry fee.

Beautiful peace of history.. It was built as a church, during the ottoman reign it was converted to a mosque, when the Turkish Republic was established it was converted to a museum and since November 2011 it's being used as a mosque again If you're visiting Bursa I'd highly recommend to visit this mosque en Iznik..
