30 minutes is too little to discover this gem. You’ll need a couple of hours to explore this bustling warren of streets. Don’t get lost though - you might struggle to find the ferry in the busy port. Also you might experience the majestic “exchange of the frying pans”, a rarely seen Turkish boatman’s custom.

Şirin mi şirin bir boğaz kasabası.. Balık yemek için bile gidilir sadece.. En güzeli vapurla gitmek ;)

Özellikle boğaz turu yaparak buraya geliyorsanız dönüş vapuruna kadar kısıtlı bir süreniz oluyor tabii Yoros Kalesi'ne çıkıp fotoğraf çekip karnınızı doyurup belkide üzerinde bir şeyler içebileceğiniz kadar da vakit var aslında. Evlerin şirinliğinin yanında manzaranın büyüsüne kapılıyorsunuz. Sıcak havalarda mutlaka şapka almanızı ve yanınızda su bulundurmanızı tavsiye ederim. Yemek ile vakit kaybetmemek adına benim yaptığım gibi sırt çantanıza önceden hazırlayacağınız sandviçleri boğaz manzarası eşliğinde Yoros Kalesinin surlarında oturarak yiyebilirsiniz. Bu arada Yoros Kalesinin bulunduğu yer aynı zamanda arkeoloji kazısına da ev sahipliği yapıyor bu yüzden zaman zaman farklı kısımları kapalı olabiliyor. Vapurdan inince sizi bir sürü balık restaurantı karşılıyor ancak buraları kullanmadığım için çok fikrim yok. Boğaz turu ile gelecekler kış ayları haricinde mutlaka güneş kremi kullansınlar çünkü uzun boğaz turu (ki iki kere yapmış oluyorsunuz) ve Anadolu Kavağı sonrası bir de güneş yanığıyla uğraşmayın.

Şirin bir sahil köyü havasında. İstanbul'un gürültüsünden uzaklaşmak mümkün. Sahile yakin yerlerde çok fazla işletme var ve size bir şeyler yedirme derdindeler. Sahil kenarinda bir kaç bank olsa dahi kesinlikle yeterli değil. Dada düzenli, temiz ve planlı olabilir.

A beautiful place near the end of the Bosphorous. Close to Istanbul but feels a million kilometres away. Worth a visit and great fish restaurants are a bonus.

An excellent place to visit, wander the streets, eat fish or breakfast or simply relax. It is only a short walk up to Yoros Castle and the stunning views of the Bosphorus and out to the #3 Bosphorus bridge and the Black Sea. Find time to visit the mosque and adore the carpet and exquisite decor. Take a sneak peak up into the big tree nearby and find the big owl.

It was a repeated and ever loved out door activity. I went with a friend. We took the boat from Eminonu pier (Şehir hatlari price 25 TL). It took 90 minutes to reach Anadolu Kavaği (It is an old fort at Asian side of Istanbul. Through out the cruise one enjoys the beautiful buildings on both sides of Istanbul. The giant Boğaziçi koprusu (Bosphorus bridge) and FSM koprusu (Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridge) hanging over the Bosphorus look fascinating. They give us three hours stop at Anadolu Kavaği, where we walked along the sea shore and enjoyed the view around while sitting in the park made along side of sea shore. We had the fish lunch ( The sea basse locally known with the name of çupra is best to eat. Its grilled and served with green rocket leave and onions and traditional Turkish bread named Ekmek). ONE SHOULD BE VEY CAREFUL WITH THE RESTAURANT THERE AS THEY CHEAT AND SHOW GOOD PHOTOES OF FOOD AND SERVE THE LESSER QUANTITY AND QUALITY AND CHARGE A LOT MORE, SO ASK THEM CLEARLY ABOUT MENUE AND PRICE. The return journey also took 90 minutes and was very relaxing and comforting. Its always good to go on Bosphorus cruise.
