Association "Woman and Society" (AWS) – is a non-commercial, non-profit public organization whose mission is aimed to improve women's status and socio-economic recovery of the society through the provision of various services. AWS was established on February 1995 and registered on April of that year at the Department of Justice of Sughd province, Republic of Tajikistan. On December of 2007 AWS was pre-registered in the Office of Justice of Sughd province under the "Law on public associations".
