Description

Shintori offers the city’s most sophisticated dining connoisseurs the artistry of beautiful Japanese food prepared with the freshest, finest ingredients. Whether at the indoor Dining Hall or the outdoor terrace with four Private Dining Villas, enjoy excellent food and creative presentation while relaxing in the chic elegance of our minimalistic décor.

The restaurant features a gourmet sushi bar, beverage & sake bar, and a great view of downtown Bangkok. A glass-walled kitchen offers a crystal-clear view of amazingly beautiful dishes as they are prepared by expertly-trained chefs under the clever guidance of executive chef Direk Kamnil.

Complementing the kitchen, which represents a stage, the restaurant itself suggests a theatre-like ambiance that mimics its sister restaurant in Shanghai. While both structures offer lofty ceilings, Shintori Bangkok adds to the experience a great view overlooking downtown, plus an expansive outdoor rooftop terrace that features a Zen bamboo garden and four Private Dining Villas.

Guests who choose to sit indoors are offered a choice of a gourmet sushi bar with the freshest catches being expertly prepared in front of you, the busy cocktail bar where hip bartenders mix signature Japanese-inspired creations or along the glass wall which commands an excellent view of downtown Bangkok.

Shintori Bangkok was jointly conceptualized by Khun Jeremy Guo, founder and CEO of Shintori Restaurant Group from Shanghai, and Allan Namchaisiri, President of ZEN Lifestyle Megastore and Dining Zensations Ltd., with design details and décor by renowned Thai architect Khun Duangrit Bunnag and his team, DBALP Ltd.

Like the world-famous stone gardens in Kyoto, such as Ryoanji, Shintori is centered on Minimalism, with emphasis on nature, simplicity and elegancy. Basic geometric shapes are prominent. Materials appear in their raw forms, and colors are no longer necessary. This absence of adornment creates the apparent contradiction of fullness through emptiness—a concept that cannot be explained in words per se but instead must be experienced firsthand. This is the essence of Shintori.

Shintori Japanese Art Cuisine is developed by Dining Zensations Ltd., a subsidiary company of Central Retail Corporation. Dining Zensations Ltd. specializes in Lifestyle Food and Beverage Retail Concepts from hip fine dining to fun casual eateries and gastro bars.
