    Over rated and tasteless food.
The french guy runing this place is super friendly and talks to everyone. Given that the place have a two days waiting list our expectations was super high. We had bbq prawns and a mixed bbq for main course. As a starter we tested their spring rolls with mozarella. The mixed bbq was excellently barbequed but it didn’t taste anything. The prawns had been on the grill too long and didn’t taste anything either. The starter just tasted black peppar and was too much dough. The red wine was served too cold.

Overall, a really bad experience given the high grades on trip advisor. If the chef added more flavours and used some more spices this food would be really good given the fresh food ingredients that was served.

This is a very special place! Not a typical local restaurant. Owned by a very nice French and therefore serving a kind of Thai-French Fusion cuisine. It idefinitely has Thai influence but with a noticable French accent ;-) A perfect combination! Service is excellent. You have to expect higher prices than in the other restaurants in Khao Lal but it is worth every Bath.

Sorry to say we had read the good reviews and thought we would give this place a try, only to be disappointed. The fresh red snapper with ginger sauce was the highlight, but the spring rolls with mince chicken and mozzarella were an odd combination for my palate and very heavy on the stomach, I felt full after sharing two starters with my partner. The other starter was prawns wrapped in fried vermicelli or some thin noodle something, again, and odd combination although the prawn within tasted reasonable enough once you got to them. Shame really, as this cosey little wooden restaurant could have been a nice little gem.

Amazing food no matter what you order you will not be dissapointed. A little bit dearer than some places but quality and freshness of food is guranteed. Also the owner is lovely and greets every guest and goes out of his way to make your night enjoyable. Don't settle for average food go to Smile and enjoy spectacular food. Thank you smile for putting a smile on our faces!! Also staff are really friendly and nice

Nice place with cosy indoor seating and outside as well. Food was good especially the desserts, we had creme brûlée and chocolate mousse.

    Delightful experience,
The most gourmet and refined cuisine in Khao Lak.

Yes, the French owner goes out of his way to make your moment unique and pleasant.

    Reservation recommended.

Just perfect! I recommend to try the samosas as a starter and the massaman curry as main curry. The food is delicous and totally worth its higher price compared to the competitors! Very friendly staff too.

Pretty good. Slightly strange European and Thai mix, but the owner is European and his wife is Thai, so I guess it makes sense. Maybe a bit expensive, but good.

The best restaurant in Khao Lak. You have to have reservation done upfront. Cosy atmosphere and thai/european cusine. Little bit more expensive in compare to other restaurants. Don ´t rush there as a first spot to eat - enjoy first other restaurants and once you will be exhausted by real thai food go there to recover your taste:)

The mixed salad with prawns was excellent. We also had the blue marlin and shrimp with stir fried vegetables in ginger and both were very good.
