Truly a top hostel 👌 I wish I could've stayed a little longer! Mark the owner was so kind and helpful, the area is really outstanding and deserves a few days of exploring in my opinion!

Perfect place to spend a couple of nights. Hostel is very clean and well maintained by Mark the guy who runs the hostel. The hostel is not far from the train station and the daily night market, 5-10 minutes walk.

Most probably Mark takes you out to some nice places in Town...for Lunch, Dinner or even a Monk-Sauna event...

Really the beste hostel I have been so far!
The place is clean, cozy and comes at an reasonable price!
The owners Mark and Mint are really helpful and friendly, even giving Private tours for free to local Tempels, explaining certain traditions and translating Texts only written in thai.
I promise it won't have been my last Stay!
Also, if you want to book, just call them, they speak english perfectly and always answer the Phone :)

Marc (owner) is the best local foreigner (Thai faarang) you'll ever meet! Lives in Thailand for 15 years now and he'll show you the real local places as a traveler you want to know. His hostel (bunk beds or private room including shower and toilet if you wish) is cheap and has a couple of hammocks and a swing on his awesome roof terrace. You can get a tour for free or a drink from his fridge. It's based on donations so feel free to give them loads! The place is situated only 750m from the station and there is lots of stuff to see and workshops to do (language or cooking courses). In other words: this town deserve more than just a sleep over. And while you stay 1 or 2 nights, you might as well at this quiet, clean and friendly place 😁

I had a great time at karma home hostel. The plan was a quick stop but ended up three nights and it would have been more if time was not running out for me! Mark is an incredible host and makes sure his guest have a blast during their stay! The hostel itself is nice, beds are comfortable and the place is clean!

There is a breakfast etc available upon donation and in and around the city there is enoug to keep you busy for a few days! Mark loves to show his guest around and provides them with tips! The hostel is a great base to explore the city and the other attractions around!

Just go there and see it yourself, you wont be disappointed! I would love to come back one day!

Karma Home is a wondrous place that will have you coming back for more. My partner and I stayed here five nights, went east, stayed another couple of nights, went north and came back for a night. Karma Home was indeed our home base for a while. Mark is one of the most generous guys you'll meet and you won't find a better tour guide. He takes you to the near by temples explaining things you would never notice on your own let alone know what they mean, all free of charge. You must check out the steam rooms at the monastery five minute walk from the hostel. By donation. A truly local experience. We couldn't get enough. Come to Karma Home and realize Phitsanulok is a place full of things to see and do, but nobody knows about it. If you just need a place to chill, relax and recharge, Karma Home has all of that. Hang out in the roof top hammocks, or on the comfy pillows and chairs situated on several floors. Meet great people. If you're lucky you will meet Mint and if you are super lucky she will teach you authentic Thai cooking. Eat dinner together as a family every night. Breakfast by donation. Do not miss Karma Home. It's wonderful.

First of all, I was fascinated by its name, Karma (กรรม), which's unlike the other hostels I used to stay. Undoubtedly Karma Home Hostel is one of the cheap-but-good accommodation in Thailand owned and managed by a farang. Mark is a very friendly person who knows everything and understands about people travelling on a shoestring. With a helping hand, he kindly takes care of the hostellers and makes their stay in Phitsanulok most enjoyable.
I really love the good location of the Karma Home which is not far from the railway station and some famous temples such as wat Yai, wat Rachaburana, wat Nang Phraya.

I loved to stay in this Hostel! The rooms are average BUT the vibe in this hostel is excellent. When you arrive the owner Marc explains you everything about this city and tells you where to go. In the evening we went out together with Marc to eat dinner and after dinner we went to a bar 🍻. If you like you can eat breakfast at the hostel. You pay for brealfast by donation. Never had such a great experience in a hostel. Marc is a really lovely guy and tries to do everything for his hostel family. I highly reccommend this place!
