This is what you choose when you want to do it all...island highlights and sightseeing, snorkeling at 2 sites and a stingray encounter! A whole lot of fun packed into one excursion.

The fun begins just a few yards from the cruise ship pier where the friendly shore excursion staff will be waiting for you. After you get checked in with your reservation, you will get in the air-conditioned van and the sightseeing portion underway. No large crowds; the maximum in the vehicle is only 14 participants. Please note that the order may be switched.

Grand Turk is small and your knowledgeable guide/driver will take you around the whole island and point out some of the best highlights along the way. You will hear the history and stories of Grand Turk is the largest island that make up the Turks and Caicos Islands. As you drive around the perimeter of the island, the driver will point out the sights and highlights. This portion will take approximately 1.5 hours. Bottled water is included.

Some of the highlights include:
John Glenn monument with replica Mercury 7 space capsule
Grand Turk Lighthouse - brief photo stop
The famous wild donkeys and horses that roam free
Cockburn City - brief photo stop
Columbus Landing
Scenic coastal shoreline and beaches

Arriving back at the meeting point, you will switch from the van into the boat that will take you the short distance to the nearby shallow coral reef to see some of the incredible marine life. The guide will pass out the snorkel gear and assist guests on how to use it. The warm and crystal clear water off Grand Turk is almost perfect for snorkeling and the shallow reef allows guests to see the fish up close. Don't forget your waterproof camera! There is a maximum of just 17 on the boat.

Travel time is the boat is very brief as all the stops are close to each other. The next snorkel stop will be at a drop-off at the edge of the coral reef or "wall". The guide will assist guests at both sites. Snorkel gear is provided (mask, fins, snorkel and vest) but guests are welcome to bring their own. Note that guests must know how to swim as neither location is shallow enough to stand.

The boat will then take you to Gibbs Cay - a small island located about a mile from the beach. Also known as Stingray City, this the ideal place to encounter the Southern Stingrays that come looking for a "fish treat handout" from the guides. The shallow, warm water is perfect for guests to kneel on the sandy bottom, stand or even snorkel above to watch and interact with the rays.

Not to worry with the rays...your guide is highly trained and experienced with handling them in a manner that is safe for both you and the rays. Touch, pet and possibly even receive a ray kiss! Guests may also relax on the white sandy beach of Gibbs Cay but note that there is nothing except Mother Nature at Gibbs. Guests will have approximately 30-45 minutes with the rays.

The boat and guide will take you back to the beach meeting point after the snorkeling. Guests may choose to make their way back to the pier at their leisure.
