Description

Usutu Forest School has since 1963, been providing a quality education for pupils from Pre-primary to Grade 7. Many of our past students have excelled in their chosen careers and in the field of sport. Many have reached heights of excellence in their respective fields and are significantly contributing to their communities. We are proud of their achievements as it was at Usutu Forest School that a solid foundation was laid. The values, ethos and philosophy played a major role in shaping the futures of these past students.

Now in 2017, with the opening of the Usutu Forest High School, we are delighted to launch and establish our Usutu Alumni Community, with its motto of “Consolidating our Future”.

We are seeking former students of Usutu Forest School to get in touch with us to join our network. It doesn’t matter when you completed your schooling at Usutu, whether you are currently in university or furthering your studies, or employed, whether you live nearby or have moved further away or abroad, there are still ways that you can get involved and we would love to keep in touch with you.

In establishing the Usutu Alumni our objective is for our former students to:

• Re-connect with old classmates
• Give talks to current students by delivering lessons related to their careers, helping build students’ understanding of the real world and boosting their motivation.
• Act as mentors and provide work shadowing or work experience opportunities for current students.
• Giving something back – assist with fundraising and make donations towards specific School needs, scholarships and bursaries
• Act as role models and prove to current students that “someone like me” can succeed and prosper.

We envisage the Usutu Alumni Network as a partner to the further and continued success of the School and look forward to past students becoming in this initiative.

If you a past Usutu Forest School student we encourage you to sign up to the Usutu Alumni Network by liking this Facebook page.
