Love the Royal Swazi Hotel and Spa - the staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms in the hotel are spacious (a little dated ) but it feels like you are stepping back in a time capsule to a Victorian era. The views are absolutely stunning, lying by the pool soaking in the sun, you are surrounded by stunning hills and mountains. The golf course is also amazing. The breakfast is amazing. If you visit this venue, make sure you book yourself in their phenomenal spa that is on site - this truly is a hidden gem that people should experience.
If you look at the room only you may think that this hotel is overpriced. But if you include the outdoor facilities, the restaurants and the breakfast it is reasonable value for the money. There is a nice view from the balcony, but what do I do with it when the hotel apparently does not want me to stay there? Three times I requested for chairs on the balcony, but nothing happened.
Hotel is old, was there around 18 years ago and not much has changed since then(or my memory might be a bit foggy), BUT, the hotel is well maintained, everything works, and the rooms are comfortable, which is more than can be said of most new and modern facilities.
Staff are very, very friendly and helpful, they are the glue that keeps it all together.
Didn't eat at any of the restaurants, had buffets breakfast lunch and dinners, food was great but ate enough and it isn't really a deal breaker when you consider everything the resort has to offer, gholf, spa, casino, great views, conference facilities, pools, great outdoor bar and more...
This is a very nice resort when you consider the cost of going there(if you don't mind to travel all the way to Swaziland), real good value for money.
The hotel is beautiful and clean. They had a Father's Day celebration this past Sunday and gave daddies wine and chocolate. The one thing that needs improvement is the bar restaurant, I ordered chips and this what u got and I couldn't even get a take away because the waiter said she would put them in a cling wrap.
I have been here twice already, to the restaurants, celebrated a birthday of mine here, it was really nice and pleasant. The staff is ever so friendly, the food is amazing, the steaks especially. I like their cocktail selections too. Clean and well taken care of restaurants
Very dated hotel. The surrounding area is beautiful. But both the rooms and the food is worst then a 3 star hotel anywhere else in the world.
It was n great weekend people are really friendly and we had a lot of fun with the competitions, draws. Food brilliant an more than enough your money worth. Swimming an SPA was joll.
Rooms are dated. Need to be refurbished. Great Food. Nice for a weekend away. Great golf course. Friendly staff. NB. Only limited free WiFi. WiFi reason for 4 star rating. This should be addressed by management.
Fantastic experience. Great staff, great service, great food. Nothing is too much for them! Spent a decent amount of time lying in the jacuzzi /pool drinking ice cold beers. Highly recommended.
Wonderful place. A little dated but the people and food were excellent. Beautifully kept gardens and pool area and golf was truly an a first class course. Loved Swaziland.
Superb hotel with lovely ambiance and great views from the rooms. The balcony attached to every room provides a lot of fresh air and respite from the confines.
The outdoor bar is a lovely place to hangout. The bar guys are great and very hospitable.
GrEat conference facility and GrEat food. What a view of a spectacular golf course.
Old deco, bath tub was peeling. Surrounds are beautiful. Gift shop, bar/restaurant available
Nice restaurant, had lots of guests at the time we went. Their stakes are very good, the prawns were also very popular. However the potjies are not too great. The service is very good.
Great and interesting golf onsite golf course..
Have not stayed there, went there for dinner and was not disappointed. The braised lamb shank was great, tender and juicy. It was a generous portion. My colleague had salmon, and he was not unhappy. Price-wise it obviously falls in splurge category. Good food, great place nonetheless.
Clean room and good services, Good natual environment will let u relex and enjoy the stay.
Stunning setting and service excellence to appreciate. Very ckean and spacious rooms
Special breakfast, dinner and sauna including steaming and many more activities it's lovely place
Quiet, comfortable, polite employees, great service. Is my best place to relax.
It is a very beautiful hotel and renders service excellently. Room always fresh and clean
The spa is up to date and the therapists are experienced. The service was great
We found staff friendly and helpful, the hotel is well situated and would suit golfers especially. The outside seating is pleasant to enjoy meals in the shade of a large tree. Two restaurants inside, two shops, a special tourist desk, banking and internet facilites, and a casino makes this an all in one hotel from which to explore the area. At the entrance there is an additional chance to buy colourful traditional Swazi printed cloths and clothing.
The place is awesome. Great views and the food is just great.
We stayed here on a tour of South Africa and although it was hyped up in our brochure, we thought it was a bit run down. When we went for our evening meal in the buffet, the waitresses were most unhappy and unhelpful. I wouldn't recommend it for value but it does have a lovely setting.
Beautiful colonial style hotel. Good rooms & very good service. Number of restaurants to suit any mood & palate. Great setting too against mountains.
