  We are a few days away from mid winter and our beautiful aloes are in full bloom again. For the first time we have noticed this gorgeous Malachite Sunbird enjoying the nectar from the flowers. We have never seen him here before, so the "twitchers" among us are very excited .

  Today is #WorldOceanDay - without water there would be no life! 💙🌍🐢

  Recently Lara, one of our team members was lucky enough to go snorkling with manta rays in Indonesia, it was an amazing experience! However she was absolutely shocked at how much rubbish and plastic there is in the ocean. She had plastic and polystyrene coffee cups bumping her on the head as the bobbed up and down - the amount of plastic floating in the ocean was absolutely terrifying!!!

  What are you doing t...o reduce your waste??

  Apart from all Ngwenya Glass’ normal green practices, we have also stopped supplying plastic straws, polystyrene takeaway boxes, plastic knives and forks in our coffee shop and our glassware is wrapped in old newspaper.

  Do your bit - refuse the straw and the plastic packets. Carry your own reusable coffee mugs and shopping bags.   Today is #WorldEnvironmentDay 🌍

  Did you know we have been an environmentally friendly green company for over 30 years?!

  Not only are all our products 100% recycled clear glass jars and bottles, we also use old engine oil and cooking oil to run our furnace (which was previously just dumped), we wrap and pack our products in old newspaper and use old news paper in our production process as well as grey water and we are almost 100% solar powered!! And we are Fair trade!

  ...

  So if you're looking for a product to increase your green foot print and decrease your carbon footprint... Look no further 😊
