Bailamos Dance Studio

Bailamos Dance Studio aims to grow the social dance community in Swaziland and connect with other communities of dancers across the region and the world. We aim to produce dancers who can dance with anyone anywhere in the world! For this reason, our teaching methods are based in a solid foundation of fundamental concepts and techniques that translate across a number of dances and styles. We aim to grow people as complete dancers, not just dancers of a specific genre, although you will learn this too! Our students will be versed in the many elements and concepts required to understand and execute dances correctly, safely and beautifully, and with anyone!
We teach Ballroom and Latin (International style and American style), salsa, bachata, kizomba, Argentine tango, merengue and more!

  Lessons resume Mon Jan 20!

  Lessons for 2020 will be as follows: MBABANE – Mondays 5:30 – 6:30pm Kizomba 6:30-7:30pm Salsa/Bachata ... (No change from 2019)

  EZULWINI – Wednesdays 6-7pm Tango (No change) 7-8:30pm Kizomba, Salsa & Bachata (NEW CLASS!)

  From Jan 20-31 we will offer the lessons as a free trial to any new potential student who hasn't done lessons with us before! Come try it out and get hooked!

  Our prices have not increased since 2015 when we started so we have had to make a slight change to prices. From February 1, Group lesson prices are: 1 group lesson/week: E200 per month 2 group lessons/week: E250 per month 3 group lessons/week: E300 per month

  Private lesson prices available on request.

  We are planning a group trip to the AfricaTango festival in Maputo in April! Also group trips to Ponta D’Ouro and Joburg at some point during the year. Details on all this and more to come!! Cheers to more dancing in 2020!

  Next Saturday Dec 21 is the Bailamos year end party with special guests from Dance Spot Maputo and other visitors from Maputo as well! Bachata, jive, hip hop and kizomba performances by Bailamos students and teachers. Pay your entry by ATM voucher/MM before Friday for E40 and get a Christmas stocking stuffer, OR at the door E50 and first 20 to arrive get a stocking stuffer. We will be partying at the new Chill & Grill at the Gables from 7pm until the last person standing drops! Next Saturday, we dance until the sun comes up with our friends from Maputo!   Recently back from Danzibar Festival, Bruno @Bnamma Ammand from Dance Spot Maputo will share with us his knowledge of kizomba and semba. He might even show us some break dancing skills! Make sure you catch is semba and kizomba workshops. Private lessons also available at a special Swazi price so make sure you take advantage! Zimborrra!!
