Good food and great views! Live DJ playing during the day, watching planes fly over Maho beach makes for a perfect day. The only issue was the tables and umbrellas could be kept in better condition.

This island stop was amazing. The fresh lobster was soooooooo worth every penny! The drinks were great, the view was fantastic, and the food and service was perfect!

It's a good bar in a great locationonly thing is that it's overpriced for the tourists. There is a good bar on the other side of the beach that has decent prices.

Great View, Great Food
We landed in St Maarten around 1:30pm and had a little time to kill before we could check into our villa so we decided to go for lunch and watch the planes land. I didn't really expect the food to be any better than regular bar food but we were pleasantly surprised. I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich which was very good and my girlfriend had the ribs which were mouth watering delicious. We sat at the bar, ate, drank Caribs and watched the planes land and take off. The price of beer was good and the atmosphere was great. Definitely a must to visit if you are on St. Maarten.report this review -

We go for the sunset. Absolutely one of the most beautiful places to see that. As well as to watch planes land and take off. However, the bartender is very rude if you choose to sit at the bar. We go in the slow season so busy is not a factor. He never asked us what he could get us. He didn't even acknowledge us. This lasted 30 min and then we left. Not your typical experience but definitely memorable.

Not even a nice beach, but we wanted to take our teen daughter for the airplane landing experience. We purchased wrist bands for round-trip Taxi transportation upon disembarking from our cruise ship to go to Maho Beach & to rent lounge chairs from the Sunset Beach Bar / Driftwood Boat Bar. A man claiming to work there told us he would get us a taxi out front so that we didn't have to walk far (my husband & I are both disabled). We told him that would be great, but wanted to be sure the taxi he got us accepted the wrist bands that we had already paid for our transportation. He assured us this was the case & so did the taxi driver. Then upon reaching the port, the driver told us we owed him $20 & proceeded to chase us down after we told him we would not pay him since we had already paid. We had our teen daughter with us, so this was pretty scary. They knew this man & knew he was a scam artist, but did nothing when they saw him approach us a few times about helping us. This was our 3rd trip to Maho Beach & will now be our last. Great way to chase the tourists away.

The renovation is great! Much larger and needed. Tall bar stools are not comfortable for long term sitting. Been going there for over 10 years. Had the pizza this time and thin crust is great. Most customers, during the day, are from cruises and to be able to sit there and have really good food and watch the planes land is GREAT. All in what you like. We love it!

Get here early! Buy the lounger and umbrella that are behind the rocks and waterfront - it's worth every penny! The waves splashed to cool you off but the tide that came to shore was not enough to carry your belongings away. LOVED the cheeseburger and fries. Perfect view of the turquoise waters and the SXM final approach. We will be back!!
