Beautiful hotel with really nice locals.
Alex (the owner) and his family living also in the hotel, so it's always good vibes in the house.
The hotel has great food just a but expensive.
The Surfspot is right in front and you have many different surfboards too choose
Great food good lodging...Wonderful place to hang out.
Alex was awesome and the facilities great. Gained so much surfing knowledge and would definitely go back there. It's a little piece of paradise. Menu items are a little pricey but you can find cheaper elsewhere. Walk to the end of the beach it's pretty nice out there.
Home away from home and their mango margaritas are the best thing I've ever had.
This is THE place to stay in El Zonte: great value, friendly and helpful staff, good food. Will come back!
Great People Great Food best beach (for surfing or just to bath) great place to chillax
Awesome place!! A friend recommended this place and the first time I visited I was not able to go in because someone rold me at the gate that the restaurant closes at 8:30 pm. The second time I was able to stay and was amazed by the beauty of this place and unique hospitality. Great place!
Is the only hostel along with wipe out i personaly did not have a good experience.
Fantastic place to enjoy the beach, nature and read a book. Love it!!!
We came for two nights and stayed for five. Lovely hotel/hostel with pool and loads of great communal areas where you can relax in a hammock. It's right on the beach which is beautiful and quiet. We also did surf lessons with Alex who was an amazing instructor, knowledgable and patient. When we were in the surf he had his team, which were pretty much one to one helping you catch waves. Great few days in one of my favourite places in Central America.
Surfing!
You can get bruised, cut, sore, tired, flushed with salt water. But once you get out on the board it's such a blast you forget all the pain and sorrow, you just want another ride. On my account Escencia Nativa in El Zonte is the best place to do it. Good housing, excellent food, the best surfclasses, good atmosphere and most of all really friendly people. Thanks Alex, Hugo, Tico and the rest of the staff.
If you're in Antigua like me and you want a break for a week, you must go here. It's like paradise.
Found the perfect place to get relaxed. Including very good pizza and Regia!
Such an amazing place to be. Gorgeous views of both Sun rise and sunset. Constant roar of the ocean is just what you need while chilling in one of the hammocks, so relaxing.
Alex is a great surf instructor and his boys are very supportive while you're in the water. He had 4 complete newbies standing up on the waves within minutes. Also, they're all extremely helpful, beyond their usual duties. I'd left my phone in a local store. I was escorted back to the store by Alex to ask if they'd found it, then driven to the local police station twice by one of the guys so I could report it lost and have the copy of the report stamped.
I don't want to go home.
Great place, great staff!
I had a great week staying here and will be back for sure. Alex and his family & staff were brilliant and the location was ideal: right beside the beach, super relaxed with hammocks and comfy seating areas. The food was delicious.
