  Let's face it: SAM Audio knows it has its niche when it comes to hi-fi systems.
  
  Chinese hi-fi - or chi-fi for short - are very well represented here, brands you will not find elsewhere in Singapore. Those looking for Topping, Gustard, Singxer, or SMSL products will not be disappointed. Having bought several units from them, SAM Audio have not disappointed so far - until a recent trip.
  
  SAM Audio does not allow A-B testing. This means you cannot take a unit on its own and try and test it with other similar types. How that is not allowed is simply a head-scratcher. Why limit a customer's last-mile decision making to trying out a potential investment worth in thousands? I was told this is a store constraint issue, but clearly, this is cop out reasoning. How can one be sure of his purchase decision without doing an A-B test? Oh and, why limit trial time to just 30 minutes? 30 minutes is hardly enough for mental burn-in time on new audio equipment! Third, I asked if there was an upsampling function in the DDC I was about to buy. It did not do them any favours that there was neither familiarity of the product nor the diligence to check if the product knowledge was lacking. Fourth, I understood there was no IIS cable being sold. I asked one of the sales staff if there was another place selling this cable. Again, I was really befuddled to hear that they know not of one location. Isn't an HDMI cable already an IIS cable? Why did the SAM Audio folks not know this, and refuse to offer where to buy this in the middle of Sim Lim Square? Really, if I was told they are not obliged to offer an opinion, I would understand. But, what I saw at SAM Audio was bordering on wilful ignorance.
  
  That I see places like Jaben and AV One providing better services on their niches, but SAM Audio not doing it frustrates the heck out of me. Last-mile decision process is crucial and to have a less-than-best Chi-fi ambassador represent this niche is nothing short of a travesty to the hard work gone to represent the remarkable progress in Chinese audiophilia.

  It has been a long while since my first visit and purchase at SAM Audio. What has remained excellent is their range of products, price and staff.
  
  So recently, I intended to purchase an IEM cable (the Moondrop Autumn Moon to be precise). However, the stocks weren't in for the particular termination I desired, so I opted to pre-order it. What I was pleasantly surprised about was the speedy shipping from China to Singapore;it was far faster than the shipping times I've experienced on e-shopping apps by the likes of Shopee and Aliexpress. They promised a shipping time of 7-14 days and they have clearly delivered ahead of their promises. For what some people see to be products sold at slightly higher prices than at aforementioned e-shopping sites, it's a tiny price to pay for a much smoother experience. Support local👍

  A great little shop for demo IEM. Tested a few before I finally reach for my wallet. Staff just wait for you to decide. Settle on Truthear Hexa for detail listening.

  Bought a moondrop click on 27th April.
  Reported issue with may 12th. Was informed by staff via WhatsApp to bring it down to check.
  Brought it down and was told that it was not covered under warranty.
  
  Could have just told me via WhatsApp in the first place that nothing could be done, instead of me coming down. Always thought Sam Audio had amazing customer support due to my previous experience purchasing from them but this experience have change my view on them.

  Super friendly and helpful staff who’s passionate bout their work. Takes great care of what each customers need/wants. Highly recommend to come by and try out some good pair of IEMs.
