Transforming lives through training, research and advocacy, Orbis enables individuals to see a world of wonder, opening doors for communities to build a brighter tomorrow.

We have long-term programs in Asia and Africa, with additional programs in parts of Latin America and the Caribbean. Our Flying Eye Hospital has visited 92 countries over the course of 35 years.

We work with local institutions to ensure that we meet local needs and conditions. We build capacity to ensure self-sustainability.

We develop and publish operational research to help inform global blindness prevention. We advocate for the inclusion of eye health within global development agendas, and work to change government policies.
